Overview
Dario Brkic, more commonly known by his onstage moniker, AIROD, has been a steadily rising star since he first began producing music. His debut on his hometown, Paris, France-based label Molekül Records in 2018 sealed the deal, earning nods from notable artists like Kobosil, Randomer, Blawan, and Dasha Rush. His career continued to level up when his moody, yet upbeat, techno sound earned him an opening slot at REX Nightclub for Belgian DJ and production powerhouse Amelie Lens.
Gracing the same stage as Lens is the stuff of dreams for many artists, and catching the renowned musician’s eye is really a dream come true. Brkic, then, is certainly living this dream. Following the event, the artist was offered a role with Lens’ global event, Exhale, alongside famous acts like Pan-Pot and Tygapaw.
Since then, AIROD has continued to release on Molekül—where he now holds the role of co-manager—Amelie Lens’ Lenske Records, and has even founded his very own imprint under Molekül called Elixyr Records. He’s released one full length album, ‘Burn Injury,’ which came out in 2020, as well as a long and impressive list of EPs and singles. Continuing their fortuitous partnership, he collaborated with Amelie Lens on the highly successful track “Adrenaline,” and the two even joined forces on a four-track EP, ‘Raver’s Heart’ in 2021. The artist has also joined forces with the likes of P.E.A.R.L., for the 2021 six-track EP ‘Tribal Science,’ and his seminal track, “Universe of 90s Techno Parties,” was remixed by artists including Randomer, Myler, and Perc.
Brkic is a regular at clubs and festivals across Europe, playing notable venues like Ibiza’s Amnesia, Manchester’s Hidden Club, and Glasgow’s Club 69 Paisley as well as Belgium’s Voodoo Village Festival, Amsterdam’s Awakenings Festival, and Europe’s iteration of of the iconic Ultra Music Festival.
