Overview
The history of Saga is a tale of creativity and musical evolution that has left a significant mark on the electronic music scene. The brand was conceptualised in Ibiza but has pushed further afield with events in the US, and the increasingly popular winter party destination of Tulum.
Saga was founded by Bedouin, a DJ and production duo consisting of Tamer Malki and Rami Abousabe. Known for their unique blend of deep house, techno, and world music influences, Bedouin created Saga - an event that allowed them to push people through a sonic experience, a true musical journey to unfold in front of them, to create a true - saga. Their vision created an immersive experience that would resonate with Ibiza's spiritual and free-spirited community.
Saga debuted in the summer of 2017 at HEART Ibiza, a venue known for its innovative fusion of art, music, and gastronomy. The night quickly garnered attention for its eclectic lineup of artists and the atmospheric journey it provided to its audience. Bedouin's vision was to merge sound, visuals, and performance into a memorable storytelling experience that would not be quickly forgotten. The event became one of the standout successes of the season, establishing Saga as a fixture on the island.
In 2022, Saga stepped things up with a move to Pacha, one of the oldest but most forward-thinking nightclubs on the island. The move to Pacha represented a significant leap in the event's journey, as it allowed Bedouin to reach a broader audience while maintaining the atmospheric intimacy it had become known for.
Saga at Pacha quickly became one of the highlights of the Ibiza summer calendar, attracting both locals and international visitors. The party continued to grow in popularity, with Bedouin curating lineups that featured a mix of established artists and emerging talent, all aligned with the Saga ethos. The event's unique blend of music, atmosphere, and storytelling resonated deeply with the Ibiza crowd.
