Ranger Trucco is a rising figure in the house music scene, known for his seamless shift from tech house to a more minimal, deep house sound. Growing up in Traverse City, Michigan—far from the nightlife hubs that often shape an artist’s journey—Ranger's passion for electronic music was sparked at festivals like Lollapalooza and Electric Forest. This exposure led him to pursue a career in house music, with a breakthrough moment coming in 2020 when Space Yacht featured him in their Tech My House virtual tour. Since then, Ranger has performed at some of the most renowned festivals and venues across the U.S., including Hangout Fest, Splash House, The Shrine, and Club Space. His dynamic live sets have made him a sought-after name in the house music community.

To gain creative freedom and explore his evolving sound, Ranger Trucco launched range. Records in 2022. The label was born from his desire to dive deeper into minimal, tech-house, and synth-heavy productions without having to conform to a specific style or label's expectations.

"Range was actually created because I wanted my sound to evolve but did not want to pivot on a dime. Instead, I self-released some deeper cuts here and there to gauge if my fans and friends were feeling it," Ranger explains. The label quickly gained recognition for its fresh approach to house music, with a focus on originality and breaking away from the norm.

The artists signed to range. Records include emerging talents like Stef Davidse, Lunoize, Riley, and Jizz, all of whom share Ranger’s vision for pushing the boundaries of sound. The label’s releases have garnered support from major names in the industry, such as Dennis Cruz, PAWSA, Seth Troxler, and ALISHA. Ranger's approach to signing artists is clear: he looks for originality, whether it's in unique sound design, inventive sampling, or the use of real instruments.

"Originality will always stand out—way, way out. Songs get signed when artists bring something new to a label, not when they try to fit in with what the label’s ‘sound’ is," he says.

In addition to running his label, Ranger expanded range. into an event brand. Since its launch, range. has hosted a series of parties across the U.S., with shows in Miami, Chicago, Denver, and Tempe. Although the brand is still relatively new, its parties have already gained a reputation for featuring a strong lineup of both established and up-and-coming talent.

Ranger has performed alongside artists like Chesster and George Smeddles, and next month, he’s set to host a range. party featuring a big lineup with Slugg and Dutch DJ Luuk van Dijk, known for his appearances at top festivals like Awakenings, Paradise, and elrow.
