Overview
Dennis Cruz is a name you’ll constantly find at the top of the charts. This Spanish DJ and producer has become a pillar in modern tech house, and his scores of #1 records will prove it. His hard work and killer tracks have earned him high praise from tastemakers and press alike, including BBC Radio 1, Mixmag, and DJ Mag.
When young Cruz was 17, he began DJing while studying sound engineering. By the time he was in his early 20s, he’s already collaborated with several popular rock bands and hip-hop artists in the production studio. It wasn’t long before he began to create his own music, this time focusing on party-starting, epic dance floor music.
In 2013, he released a string of singles that would introduce his sound to the world. That same year he would debut his first label Lemon-aid Music. The label’s first release, Cruz’s single “Keep On Trying”, was a stomping house record that was no flair and all beat. After that, a string of releases on labels such as Solid Grooves, Hot Creations, Crosstown Rebels, Snatch!, and other notable institutions made Dennis Cruz a highly sought-after producer and performer.
Cruz has racked up numerous awards and achievements in the decade since that first release. His multiple #1 hits of Beatport have made him the site’s 3rd Best Tech House Artist of all time. Outside the studio, he’s made various appearances at BPM Festival and ADE, plus regular club sets at renowned institutions like Fabric in London and Privilege in Ibiza.
In October of 2021, Cruz hit another huge milestone with the release of his first full-length LP, Roots. Informed by a lifetime of musical influences like funk, salsa, and flamenco to house and disco, the 10-track LP is full of surprises. It also features artists like Josh Butler, Ian Ludvig, Leo Wood, and more. Now with his own label, MÜSE, he’s shepherding in an entirely new genre of inspired artists and music to liven up any dance floor.
