Joining Black Coffee in The Theatre this September 16 are DJ Koze and DJ Merlon – both powerhouses in their own right, ensuring the beats remain fresh and the vibes are undeniably electric. As always, The Club will be under the spell of sonic shaman Damian Lazarus, this week joined by Guti & Dani Ramos, who will be bringing their synergy to the decks, while Mīmī x Fy promise a set that'll keep your feet moving and heart pounding. And while Hï Ibiza has played host to many star-studded lineups throughout the 2023 summer season, is there anything quite like the tribal sounds and African heat that Black Coffee brings? The lineup The Theatre Black Coffee first entered the electronic music scene as a graduate of the Red Bull Music Academy and, ever since then, his career has skyrocketed. In 2016, he won Best Deep House DJ at the Ibiza-based DJ Awards. Now, as a double-platinum-selling artist with collaborations under his belt with the likes of Drake, Alicia Keys, P. Diddy, and Beyoncé, we can only gaze in awe as he takes another music-thirsty crowd on an inexplicable journey each and every Saturday night. DJ Koze, aka Stefan Kozalla, is a DJ, musician, and prolific remixer with credits including Gorillaz, Caribou, and Moderat. Renowned for his distinct psychedelic sound and timeless approach, Koze thrives outside typical music industry cycles, balancing uniqueness with broad appeal. DJ Merlon (real name Sibusiso Mhlongo) worked closely with a group called Shana (Shota, Demor, and Black Coffee) in his early career which helped propel him to where he is today. His vocal house sound will be played throughout the Hï theatre and you will be wowed by his talent and skill behind the decks. The Club Damian Lazarus, a renowned DJ and electronic music producer, is famed for his captivating DJ sets and spellbinding performances that transcend traditional club confines, taking audiences on extraordinary experiences in incredible outdoor locations including jungles, beaches, and archaeological ruins. Lazarus has showcased his visionary abilities through his seminal labels, Crosstown Rebels and Rebellion, launching the careers of notable names in the scene, while his inspirations span various genres from show tunes and drum 'n bass to jazz, electro, soul, house, and techno, all evident in his acclaimed albums such as Flourish and Smoke The Monster Out. Guti, an Argentinian talent, seamlessly transitioned from a successful rock musician with Jóvenes Pordioseros to an influential figure in electronic music, aligning with elite labels like Desolat and Crosstown Rebels. Merging jazz and Latin roots with house, Guti's diverse and soulful productions have garnered acclaim from global icons such as Carl Cox, Ricardo Villalobos, and Loco Dice. Dani Ramos, a Berlin-based DJ and producer originating from Cali, Colombia, merges her rich Salsa heritage and diverse musical background to craft distinctive house and techno sets. As a trained sound engineer, co-owner of Lacroix Studios, and founder of Cachonda Records, she's collaborated with industry giants such as Martin Buttrich, Luciano, and Guti, consistently enchanting dancefloors worldwide. Belgrade and Mykonos-based DJ and producer duo MĪMĪ x FY, comprised of Miroslava Djordjevic (MĪMĪ) and Maja Pejcic (FY), are known for their diverse soundscapes encompassing electronic music, melodic techno, acid house, indie, downtempo, and disco. The pair, who became a duo in 2017, are resident DJs at the legendary club Moni in Mykonos and have shared stages with prominent artists like Âme, Damian Lazarus, and Dubfire at various festivals and clubs around the world.
