Overview

New York's Grammy-award-winning producer, CID, returns for a hometown performance on September 22nd. Hosted by Gray Area in the pleasant late September weather, this open-air event takes place at The Ruins of the historic Knockdown Center in Queens. Dive into CID's signature tech house beats at one of New York's most unique venues: a vast concrete patio surrounded by century-old structures, remnants of the factory’s old boiler room. With the gentle autumn breeze as a backdrop, it promises to be a night to remember.

The Ruins at Knockdown Center

The Queens-born artist has a mile-long resume featuring collaborations with Kaskade, Diplo, Westend, Dombresky, and BYOR. His GRAMMY-winning work with Cedric Gervais on their remix of Lana Del Rey's "Summertime Sadness" is just the tip of the iceberg. CID has released on diverse labels such as Tiesto's Musical Freedom, Lee Foss' Repopulate Mars, Sonny Fodera's Solotoko, and his own tastemaking imprint Night Service Only.

CID is always in a state of transformation and has built a career on forging his own path. His music is boundary-pushing, forward, funky, and dancefloor-filling. He had a mammoth year in 2022, dropping nearly a dozen records, including the massive hit "Carnaval de Paris," his The Game sampling collab with UK producer Joshwa, "How We Do," and the Beatport #1 "Let Me Take You" with Westend.

As a DJ, his skills are unsurpassed. And it's no surprise, as being behind the decks is what drew him into dance music, to begin with. Since he was a teen, CID has scoured the crates at New York record stores. An accomplished selector, CID has performed at EDC Vegas, Lollapalooza, Tomorrowland, elrow, and Ultra.

Kicking off the evening will be Damelo, Ducci and Taylo followed by a special b2b set by special guests Carlo Lio and Nathan Barato to support CID.

Toronto's Nathan Barato quickly made a name for himself with early support from industry giants like Marco Carola, who introduced Nathan's hit "Hard Werq", and Jamie Jones, who frequently played his 'Wobble Talk’ EP, catapulted him to prominence.

Nathan's distinctive sound, blending 90's garage with funky techno, secured him spots on top labels including Hot Creations, Hottrax, Relief, Saved Records and many more. Masterfully blending house and techno, his unmistakable sound has opened doors to residencies with Music On, Paradise and Elrow as well as securing bookings at major festivals like BPM, Ultra, and We Are, with notable club appearances in Ibiza's DC10 and Amnesia.

Toronto-born Carlo Lio is s a celebrated DJ and producer, with releases tracks on major labels and is the force behind Rawthentic Music, alongside Nathan Barato.

Fans and music enthusiasts have seen him electrify stages at renowned festivals and venues worldwide. Notably, industry giants like Dubfire, Marco Carola, Carl Cox, and Loco Dice have shown robust support for his work. With his distinct tech grooves and deep tech-house beats, Carlo Lio remains a powerhouse name in house music.

Hailing from New York, Damelo consistently garners support from renowned artists like The Martinez Bros, Marco Carola, Paco Osuna, Ben Sterling igniting dance floors at Hï Ibiza and EDC Orlando. He is on a hot streak of releasing tracks on notable labels like Gene Farris' Farris Wheel, Iglesias' Woodlands Records, and AND DANCE Records.

Ducci is a renowned local DJ in New York who supported CID last year on The Roof and plays frequently at The Williamsburg Hotel. He was also spotted in Croatia performing at Yacht Week.
