Inclusive party and label HE.SHE.THEY returns for its second installation at world-famous superclub Amnesia.
The “mind-bending and immersive visual experience” will be an inclusive house and techno party for everyone, of all genders, races, and sexualities - reflecting the diversity and representation that were historically at the heart of the roots of house and techno.
Experimentation is firmly encouraged at a HE.SHE.THEY party, in both attire and attitude. You’ll be treated to a visual explosion of LGBTQIA+ dancers throughout the night and an enviable DJ lineup including Cinthie, Derrick Carter, Floorplan, Horse Meat Disco, Jennifer Cardini, Kittin, Maze & Masters, Maya Jane Coles, Patrick Mason, and Tiga.
HE.SHE.THEY. carries one message, “a place without prejudice, where people can be people”.
Berlin-born CINTHIE has been part of the electronic music scene since the early 90s, playing in clubs in her hometown and well as other hotspot cities like Paris, London, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Stockholm, Seoul, and Osaka. The DJ, producer, label head, and record store owner will be bringing her house and techno sounds to Amnesia’s dancefloor on August 26th.
Derrick Carter started his DJ career at just nine years old and is hailed as one of the pioneers of Chicago house music’s second wave in the 90s. The famously low-profile DJ and remixer’s career is unparalleled.
Detroit minimal techno pioneer Robert Hood teamed up with his daughter Lyric back in 2016 and they now play together as the duo Floorplan. With releases on Robert’s own imprint M-Plant and having played all over the world, this family affair is now stopping over to Ibiza for HE.SHE.THEY.
Horse Meat Disco co-founders James Hillard and Jim Stanton started off their career by creating a safe queer space for disco lovers in London. Hillard has been a disco fan since he was a child as his dad used to collect disco records. Stanton grew up on rock music but later became a disco lover. Their enthusiastic energy behind the decks is something to behold!
French DJ Jennifer Cardini started her DJ career at Pulp in Paris, and since then has brought her fuse of techno, electro, and disco to the world’s best clubs, including Panorama Bar in Berlin, De School in Amsterdam, Lux in Lisbon, and Good Room in New York.
Caroline Hervé, aka Kittin, quit her studies in 1995 and teamed up with The Hacker to make their first official EP ‘Champagne’. She spent the following years playing at clubs across Berlin and wider Europe. Her next release aims to find the joy in music by peeling away the non-essential.
Maze & Masters have been residents of and played at some of the best clubs around the world, including Ministry of Sound, Pacha Ibiza,Printworks, Studio338, and Fabric to name a few. They are HE.SHE.THEY residents and also have weekly radio shows on Ibiza Sonica and Ibiza Global as well as guest sets on Rinse FM.
Maya Jane Coles is a multi-award-winning, London-based producer, songwriter, and DJ with releases on influential labels such as Dogmatik and Mobilee, as well as her own label I/AM/ME. Maya has picked up multiple awards including Beatport's Staff Pick: Artist of the year and Best Producer, Best DJ, Best Compilation, and Best Underground Track from Mixmag.
Berlin-based techno and house DJ, Patrick Mason, basically grew up on the dancefloors of Berghain and found his musical voice which he now shares with the world; a diverse mix of house and techno.
Montreal-born DJ and producer Tiga grew up with hippie parents in 1980s Goa, India. In the midst of the iconis scene he formed a love for dance music and moved home to found DNA Records and SONA. He’s since become a pioneering promoter, DJ, and producer. His 2009 release “Mind Dimension” is having something of a moment right now, with a slew of hit remixes that were released last year.
