John Digweed & Guests
Brooklyn, New York
Overview
We are thrilled to present a legendary name in the music industry: John Digweed! Join us on November 8th at the Chocolate Factory for an unforgettable night.
Hailing from England, John Digweed has firmly established his name in dance music history. His groundbreaking achievements include the first proper DJ mix compilation, "The Mix Collection" (with Sasha), being the first British DJ to hold a residency at the iconic NYC club Twilo, and remixing tracks for Underworld, Quincy Jones, William Orbit, and New Order.
John Digweed is revered among DJs for his unique approach. From his beginnings in the acid house scene to his apex in the international DJ world, he has maintained a level of integrity that sets the standard for DJs and producers globally. Despite his enduring popularity, Digweed has stayed true to underground dance culture, balancing his roles as DJ, producer, and promoter.
As the creative force behind the Bedrock record label, John has launched the careers of many DJs. A release on Bedrock signifies production quality, ingenuity, and integrity. With over 40 world-renowned mix CDs (such as Transitions, "Live In," Northern Exposure, and The Mix Collection), he consistently delivers products in high demand.
As one half of the production duo Bedrock, alongside Nick Muir, John has produced and remixed numerous tracks, including two Top 40 hits: "Heaven Scent" and "For What You Dream Of," the latter featured in the film "Trainspotting." The duo also scored the Hollywood film "Stark Raving Mad" and MTV's animated "Spider-Man" series.
John Digweed regularly plays at the world's biggest festivals (EDC, Tomorrowland, Timewarp, Ultra, Coachella) and coolest clubs (Output, Fabric). He was one of the first DJs to tour the U.S. extensively (Delta Heavy and Area 2) and performed with Fatboy Slim at 'The Big Beach Boutique' in Brighton for over 250,000 fans. His 2017 Resistance Ibiza Residency and world tour demonstrate his ongoing demand to headline cutting-edge underground events with top-notch visual and sound productions.
His Transitions radio show reaches over 14 million listeners weekly in more than 60 countries, achieving near-cult status and consistently ranking as the number one show on Mixcloud.
We are thrilled to unveil that joining the legendary John Digweed at the Chocolate Factory is Cristina Lazic!
