Lutrell is quickly becoming the progressive producer and mustache enthusiast du jour. With his indie-laced house music and melodic techno, he’s already gained support from heavyweights like BBC Radio 1, Moby, Tycho, Lane 8, and more. This spring, we at Gray Area are proud to host Luttrell on The Roof of Superior Ingredients on Friday, March 10. With an immaculate city backdrop right at your feet, you won’t be able to stop yourself from dancing.

Though he cites The Smashing Pumpkins, Nirvana, and The Prodigy among his earliest musical influences, a semester spent studying in Berlin introduced Luttrell to techno. After a stint as one-half of OWLSA-signed The M Machine, he found a longstanding home base with Anjunadeep Records. His earliest EPs for the deep house record label established the California native as a promising new producer. Within his first two years as a solo artist, he had already supported Above & Beyond, Rüfüs du Sol, and Lane 8 on their US tours. His breakout track, “Twin Souls” from 2020, peaked at #10 on the Beatport charts.

In 2019, Luttrell released his debut album as a solo artist, Into Clouds. The album is a dreamy soundscape punctuated with heavy-hitting club tracks, and it seemed to solidify Luttrell as a powerful musical force. Since Into Clouds, he’s performed at Printworks, Coachella, Tomorrowland, and Electric Forest. He also co-headlined the Anjunadeep Open Air tour. His latest album, Music For My Memories, is a fully-mixed album that shows fans what kind of magic they can expect from a Luttrell set.

The 5,000-square-foot multi-level rooftop provides unobstructed views of the New York City skyline.
