On September 27, The Great Hall at Avant Gardner welcomes one of Afro House’s most influential DJs and producers: Maz.

A top-selling artist in the genre, Brazilian sensation Maz has brought his sound to some of the world’s most iconic stages—Coachella, Tomorrowland (Belgium & Brazil), Circoloco Ibiza, Ultra Europe, Rock in Rio, Hï Ibiza, Laroc, Green Valley, and Warung Beach Club—leaving his mark on every continent he’s touched, from Europe to Asia, North America to Africa.

But Maz’s impact doesn’t stop there. He co-founded Dawn Patrol Records with fellow Brazilian artist Antdot, creating a label that’s not only home to their own productions but also a hub for Afro House creativity in Brazil. Tracks like Povoada topped the Afro House charts on Beatport and received heavyweight support from Black Coffee, Keinemusik, Rüfüs Du Sol, CamelPhat, Diplo, Michael Bibi, and Vintage Culture—just to name a few.

In January 2024, Maz and Antdot launched Dawn Patrol’s first live events in Rio de Janeiro, selling out both Tawa Beach Club and Privilège Búzios. More than just a party, it marked the beginning of a movement—a growing community of fans and artists united through Afro House and the soul of Brazil.

Now, that energy lands in Brooklyn. Hosted inside The Great Hall, one of the city’s most unique venues, this event promises a night of unforgettable moments. A quintessential Brooklyn warehouse that’s anything but typical, The Great Hall combines soaring ceilings, exposed brick, and industrial beams with state-of-the-art lighting and sound. Its massive dance floor and elevated viewing platforms offer the perfect setting for a night where the music takes center stage and the energy never lets up.
