Desert Hearts New York

Overview
On Saturday, December 6th, the iconic Desert Hearts crew returns to New York for a night of unfiltered house and techno at 99 Scott. Known for cultivating one of the most passionate underground communities in dance music, Desert Hearts has grown from a renegade desert gathering into an international movement—spanning a decade of iconic parties, a respected record label, and a family of artists who bring unmatched energy wherever they go.
The night brings together the core Desert Hearts family — Mikey Lion, Lee Reynolds, and Marbs — each adding their own flair to the dance floor. Joining the squad is CЯSPY and SHADED! Mikey Lion, recognized for his infectious energy and warm stage presence, bridges his hip-hop roots with the house sounds that defined his journey after a life-changing Daft Punk set. His performances at EDC Las Vegas, Electric Forest, and Dirtybird Campout highlight his ability to merge underground style with large-scale energy. Lee Reynolds, affectionately known as Papa Lee, brings decades of experience from the California rave era, channeling his roots as a pro BMX rider turned DJ into sets full of character and rhythm.

Founded by Mikey Lion, Lee Reynolds, Marbs, and Porky, Desert Hearts has transformed stages across the world—from the dust of Burning Man to sold-out shows in New York, Los Angeles, Berlin, Costa Rica, and Tulum. Their labels, Desert Hearts Records and its darker counterpart Desert Hearts Black (DHB), have become respected homes for forward-thinking house and techno, championing their sound and the artists shaping its future.

Also adding to the lineup is SHADED (Live) — the Los Angeles-born producer known for blending psychedelic textures, rolling basslines, and funk-driven grooves into his performances. A former member of SHDWPLAY, SHADED broke out as a solo artist with releases like “Be My Binge,” “Dwell,” “Crayzy,” and “She She”—the latter named Mixmag’s Tune of the Month and one of Turbo Recordings’ best-selling tracks. His catalog spans respected labels including Senso Sounds, Turbo, and SCI+TEC, with support from Loco Dice, The Martinez Brothers, Dubfire, and Tiga.
Setting the tone for the night is Brooklyn’s CЯSPY, a rising force in the city’s underground scene. Inspired by Dirtybird and Desert Hearts, he’s known for his renegade energy and inventive pop-up events like the “KiNDEЯDiSCO” series on the Williamsburg Bridge.
Whether it’s their biannual festival, global City Hearts Tour, or a warehouse takeover like this one, a Desert Hearts party is never just about the music—it’s about community, connection, and freedom of expression. Join the family on December 6th as they take over 99 Scott for a night of pure, unfiltered energy.
