On March 30th, we’re thrilled to welcome Defected Records hall-of-famer Sam Divine to the Rooftop of Superior Ingredients. Joining her is German-born, Jamaican-raised Melanie Ribbe—a DJ, producer, and label owner.
Sam Divine has been a cornerstone of the UK house music scene, earning recognition for throwing down, expertly curated DJ sets. Her career took off with Defected Records, one of the most respected labels in house music, where she rose from working on their Ibiza street team to hosting their global radio show and headlining top clubs and festivals around the world.
Melanie Ribbe has held residencies at top venues like Amnesia Ibiza, Cova Santa, D-Edge São Paulo, and Ibiza Global Radio with her show Groove Nation. She has headlined elite clubs such as Hï Ibiza, Pacha Ibiza, Ushuaïa, Fabrik Madrid, Green Valley, and Space Miami, as well as major festivals like Ultra Music Festival, Creamfields, elrow, and Lollapalooza.
Her music has been released on respected labels including Saved, Moon Harbour, Drumcode, and elrow, earning support from industry icons like Marco Carola, Jamie Jones, The Martinez Brothers, and Nic Fanciulli.
Rounding out the lineup is London-based DJ duo Late Replies, who have been making an impact on the global electronic music scene since 2016. They’ve played at iconic venues such as Factory Town, Floyd Miami, Halcyon, and Lost Beach Club.
Also joining the fun is LEFTI. The launch of his project, LEFTI, marked a new phase in his career, producing a steady flow of remixes and originals. His tracks have been released on leading independent house labels worldwide, including Toolroom, Nervous, Freakin 909, and more.
Returning for another Gray Area spectacle is New York-based Branqueeno.
Divine has held residencies at legendary Ibiza venues like Pacha, Mambo, Amnesia, Eden, and Ushuaïa, performing alongside iconic artists such as Frankie Knuckles, Masters At Work, MK, DJ Spen, KiNK, Sandy Rivera, and The Shapeshifters. Her influence extends beyond the island, with appearances at London’s Printworks, where she made her debut and returned for Defected’s New Year’s Day show.
She has also recorded an Essential Mix for BBC Radio 1, performed a Mixmag Lab NYC set, and rinsed the stages at festivals and events worldwide. Notable highlights include performing atop London’s Tower Bridge and raising over £40,000 for Breast Cancer Research through her charity, D-Vita.
Her roots in Weston-super-Mare and Bristol, where she worked in record stores, laid the groundwork for her deep understanding of music. Divine founded her own label, DVINE Sounds, which has introduced fresh talent to the house music world. During her label's fifth anniversary, they celebrated with events such as boat parties, a stage at We Are FSTVL, and a return to ADE.
That same year, she launched "Round Our House," a series of intimate house party-style events that showcase her passion for connecting with audiences in unique settings.
Join us on March 30th as Sam Divine brings her UK talent and expertise to the Rooftop of Superior Ingredients for what guarantees to be an epic evening of house music.
