Simon Doty w. EMJIE [Extended Set]

On Saturday, October 3rd, Simon Doty returns to New York for an extended daytime set at Refuge. Joining him is Brussels producer and DJ EMJIE.

Over the past several years, Simon Doty has become one of the standout names in melodic house and techno. Following the release of his debut album Universal Language on Anjunadeep, the Canadian producer launched his own imprint, Recess, shifting his focus toward groove driven, club focused records while maintaining the melodic depth that first brought him international recognition.

His world tour supporting Universal Language spanned more than 60 dates, with performances at Brooklyn Mirage, Red Rocks Amphitheatre, The Gorge Amphitheatre, Savaya Bali, and Fabric London. Along the way, his productions have earned support from Sasha, Hot Since 82, Jamie Jones, Carl Cox, Pete Tong, and Danny Howard, while releases on Anjunadeep, Toolroom, This Never Happened, and Definitive have established him as one of Canada’s leading electronic artists.

EMJIE brings a sound that moves between classic house, indie dance, and retro influences. A Studio Brussel resident, she has played Tomorrowland, Zamna, Fuse, Sisyphos, Bar Americas, and Pukkelpop, and shared the decks with Diplo at CORE Tulum. Her productions have landed on YES YES YES, One Seven Music, Renaissance, Tensnake’s True Romance, and Phisica, with support from LP Giobbi, Chloé Caillet, Damian Lazarus, Adam Ten, Sasha, Deer Jade, and Mano Le Tough.

With Simon Doty behind the decks for an extended set and EMJIE opening the night, expect an immersive journey through melodic house, rolling grooves, and late night club music inside Refuge.

Taking place during the day, this special session lets the music evolve alongside the changing light inside Refuge, creating the perfect atmosphere for an extended set.
