Ushuaïa and Hï Ibiza’s April Opening Party: Better Together - Presented by The Night League

A true clubbing marathon brings the two heavyweights of Playa d’en Bossa together for a day-to-night opening fiesta that can’t be missed!

On Saturday, April 30th, after a long two-year wait, a collection of the biggest names in the dance and electronic music scene will come together to celebrate the launch of the 2022 summer season in Ibiza. Better Together kicks off at midday at the island's iconic open-air venue, Ushuaia, and spills over to Hï Ibiza from 11 pm to who-knows-when on Sunday, May 1st. Who will give in first? The revelers or the DJs? These kinds of marathons are what made Ibiza famous, after all!

With Hi and Ushuaia steps away from each other, Better Together is a perfect doubleheader to say adios to April and welcome May with open arms. In previous seasons, opening parties have historically happened in mid-May (or even later), but who can blame the White Isle for wanting to kick off earlier in 2022.

Ushuaia and Hi have always sought to unite clubbers from all over the globe. They’ve curated a killer opening party line-up, dealing heavily in house and techno.

Ushuaia Ibiza 12:00 pm - 11:59 pm

ARTBAT, Kölsch, Layla Benitez, Mathame, Paul Kalkbrenner (Live), Stephan Bodzin (Live)

Ukrainian duo ARTBAT are no stranger to the world's biggest stages, so will feel right at home at Ushuaia - laying down techno and electronic beats for the crowd's pleasure.

Since the opening of Ushuaia in 2015, Kolsch has graced the decks on its renowned stage multiple times and those of many other Ibiza clubs, including Space (now Hï).

Born and raised in New York City, Layla Benitez’s sound is radically distinctive but brilliantly diverse. Expect some Afro-House beats, soul sounds, and cutting-edge melodies from the daughter of world-renowned producer and DJ Jellybean Benitez.

Mathame is the name given to the audio process developed by the brothers Amedeo and Matteo Giovanelli, who consistently hold their place at the very pinnacle of the techno world.

Berlin's Paul Kalkbrenner has experienced a career like no other. A true techno talent who, over two decades, has emerged from the underground to the top of the league. Considered a live act more than a DJ, Kalkbrenner’s unique style sees him pulling apart the individual pieces of songs and reassembling them in new ways for the dance floor.

Born in Germany, classically educated techno maestro Stephan Bodzin has been sharing his infectious energy as part of his live shows at festivals and clubs since 2005.

Hi Ibiza 11:00 pm-close

Adam Beyer, AMÉMÉ, Anfisa Letyago, Black Coffee, Charlotte De Witte, Chloé Caillet, Chris Liebing, Damian Lazarus, The Martinez Brothers

Swedish techno producer and DJ Adam Beyer is the founder of Drumcode Records. Emerging in the mid-1990s alongside Cari Lekebusch and Jesper Dahlbäck, his music is now synonymous with all that is exciting about techno

With an incredible ear for amazing Afro-House, tribal percussion, and spiritual vocals - West African-born AMÉMÉ currently splits his time between Brooklyn and Berlin (with the odd stopover in Ibiza, of course!)

Siberian-born Anfisa Letyago has been delivering cutting-edge electronic music to the masses since first coming to light in 2016. She’s become a household name in the techno world, showered with praises by Carl Cox, Charlotte De Witte, and Adam Beyer.

Hï resident Black Coffee released his debut self-titled album in 2005 on his record label, Soulistic Music. He's now at the top of the house music game after building his career over two decades and winning a GRAMMY, amongst other accolades.

This summer looks promising, with a rare appearance from Belgian-born Charlotte De Witte to start the season. Best known for her dark and stripped-back techno style, she’ll have Hï pumping like no other.

Parisian Chloé Caillet has played some of the world’s most renowned clubs and parties, including a residency with Dixon at Pacha, Fabric, Tek Support, Badaboum, Guy Gerber’s Rumors, and most recently Circoloco at DC10. She returns to Hï this year with her eclectic sounds.

Popular in the Frankfurt techno scene since the 1990s, Chris Liebing has always stood for solid techno on the deeper side of things and continues to stray far from the mainstream.

A musical storyteller, Damian Lazarus, can curate a contemporary house and techno soundtrack that elevates the atmosphere and perfectly fits the mood of any space.

Born and raised in New York and brought up on their father's love of Paradise Garage, The Martinez Brothers have a strong history with Ibiza and have been creating dancefloor-ready tracks since the early 2000s.
