As EMBRZ Evolves, the Melody Remains
EMBRZ, also known as Jack Casey, is an Irish-born producer best known for his expressive, melodic, flowing style of dance music. Jack’s passion for music came at a young age. He began playing and writing music as a teenager, inspired by a childhood of listening to bands like Slipknot.
Despite his early infatuation with hard rock, Jack became engrossed by electronic music after discovering deadmau5 in the early 2010s. He quickly began producing his music and posting it online for anyone to hear. He gained traction for his soft, melodic sound and was quickly tapped for a career-igniting remix of Ellie Goulding’s 2013 hit, “How Long Will I Love You.”
Jack followed this with two more high-profile remixes for The 1975 and Carly Rae Jepsen before taking a step back to release original music starting in 2015. His debut single, “Silent,” showed his ability to create independently. The low-key, melodic tune made an immediate impact, as Jack was quickly signed to the legendary Ultra Records (with whom he released exclusively until 2019). Under the tutelage of the record giant, Jack worked tirelessly to build up the EMBRZ brand. Releasing emotive hit after hit, his profile continued to gain traction until 2020, when his breakout truly began.
Receiving recognition from high-level peers is always a mark of success for an up-and-coming artist. When we think about the acts at the top of the game in the world of melodic house music, Lane 8 is typically one of the first names to come to mind.
When Jack began sending demos to Lane 8’s label, This Never Happened, the fit was recognized immediately. Lane 8 quickly signed a three-track EP from EMBRZ titled Jaded. EMBRZ quickly made This Never Happened his home; he released a full-length album in September 2021 on the label and followed it up with an incredible livestream filmed on the Cliffs of Moher in Ireland.
EMBRZ has since released seven times with the label: a combination of powerful singles, longer EPs, and even an official remix for Lane 8 himself. The young Irish producer is now a mainstay under the wing of Lane 8, and he’s also building a reputation as a master behind the decks.
Although Jack Casey has been producing music for almost a decade, in many ways, it feels like he is finally reaching the consciousness of the masses. His unique style of melodic house music elicits incredible emotion from his fans, and we cannot wait to see how EMBRZ continues to grow and develop as an artist.
