Overview

Blackchild is an Italian DJ and producer who rose from the island of Ischia to become one of the most widely booked names in contemporary tech house.

Born and raised in the Gulf of Naples, Blackchild’s earliest musical foundation came from his family—particularly his father’s record collection, which exposed him to hip-hop, R&B, disco, and old-school house. Those influences shaped his ear for rhythm and arrangement long before he began producing. At 18, he started making tech house records, quickly earning support from respected figures in the underground scene and establishing himself as a serious new talent from Italy’s club circuit.

A major turning point in his career came in 2019, when he joined the Solid Grooves roster, aligning him with one of the most influential platforms in modern house music. From there, his profile expanded rapidly through a consistent run of releases on key labels associated with leading artists in the genre. His catalogue includes music released through imprints such as Cuttin’ Headz, Mindshake, and Hot Creations—labels known for shaping the sound and direction of tech house over the last decade.

Blackchild’s momentum has been reinforced by strong chart performance, with more than 30 total records charting on Beatport. Among his most notable releases is the City Cutz EP, which reached #1 on Beatport’s Overall Top 100 Releases chart as well as the Tech House chart—an achievement that placed him among a small group of producers to cross over from genre success into the platform’s highest-ranking category.

As a touring DJ, Blackchild has performed across Europe, Asia, and South America, building an international audience through club appearances and major festival bookings. His résumé includes high-profile venues and events such as Hï Ibiza, Printworks London, Creamfields, Parklife, Kappa FuturFestival, and Pacha Barcelona. Known for a club-focused style built for peak-time rooms, he has become a regular presence within the global house circuit.

With a career defined by steady output, major label support, and sustained touring demand, Blackchild continues to be recognized as a key figure in the current generation of tech house artists.
