Event Recommendation
Multi-platinum DJ and producer Calvin Harris has been making headlines this summer with three of his weekly parties at Ushuaïa already under his belt, playing to sell-out crowds and getting rave reviews.
As one of the most well-known DJs in the EDM community, Calvin Harris has dominated the charts, broken world records, and had over 35 billion combined audio and video streams in his career, making him one of the most viewed artists on YouTube and one of Sony Music's biggest streaming artists. His chart-topping tunes and self-sung classic tracks are club anthems and will fill the skies surrounding Playa d’en Bossa’s open-air venue every Friday from 5 pm to midnight.
Previously, Calvin Harris has held exciting residencies at Amnesia in 2012, Pacha in 2018, and Ushuaïa in 2019 (which broke attendance records) as well as one-off dates across the White Isle - but none of these, are as long as the 14-week stint that the Scottish DJ is doing in 2022.
With 16 Brit Award nominations, five Grammy nominations and two wins under his belt, you can see why his residency at Ushuaïa Ibiza has been and will continue to be one of the hottest parties on the island this year.
If one incredible electronic music artist wasn’t enough, teaming up with Harris across all Ushuaïa dates this summer is American DJ and producer Marc Kinchen, known as MK. The duo shared stages and lineups plenty of times in the past, but to see them together as part of a 7,000-strong crowd will be next level.
Calvin Harris produced his very first demo by the time he was 15 and released his first album I Created Disco in 2007. Eight of the singles on his 2012 album 18 Months reached the top 10 of the UK singles charts, skyrocketing his rise to international fame. His EDM style fills dancefloors the world over, and he became the first British solo artist to reach more than one billion streams on Spotify. Whether under the name Calvin Harris, or that of his alias Love Regenerator, you’ll be dancing all night long at Ushuaïa this summer!
Marc Kinchen, aka MK, grew up in Detroit and draws inspiration from a huge variety of musical styles, which forged his path over the years. Going from house to techno, hip-hop, R&B, and back to house, MK surely knows his way around the decks. In the 90s, Marc was the go-to guy for club mixes, shown by the incredible success of his “Push The Feeling On” remix for The Nightcrawlers.
Monki’s journey into music started with her internships at Radio Jackie and Rinse FM, where after a year she was offered her own show. Moving to Radio 1 and 1xtra, Monki has proven to be one of the most influential musical selectors and brings her incredible taste to clubs and festival stages across the world.
Tyson O'Brien supported Calvin Harris during his last residency at Ushuaïa, Ibiza and will be back once again in 2022. The Melbourne-born DJ has a career history spanning over a decade and seriously knows how to play to a crowd!
