Dj Sneak is one of the few artists in dance music who can truly be considered a legend. The Puerto Rican-born, Chicago-based DJ and producer, is known for brilliantly crafted, masterfully sampled slices of floor-rocking beats. The consummate innovator DJ Sneak's skills behind the decks are unmatched. Gray Area is proud to bring the House Gangsta to The Roof at Superior Ingredients in Brooklyn on December 16 for a Friday evening of straight-up house music. Get your weekend started right with a healthy dose of Chicago flavor, soundtracking a heavenly view of the sunset behind the Manhattan Skyline.

DJ Sneak in The Lab LA

In 1996 Sneak released the Blue Funk Files EP on Green Velvet's Relief Records. His boundary-breaking and innovative approach to production was a revelation to the scene, injecting house music with his now classic funky filtered disco sound. He created the blueprint for decades of hits to follow. If you're a fan of Daft Punk, Armand Van Helden, or the Basement Jaxx, you have DJ Sneak to thank as their inspiration.

Over the last two and half decades, Sneak has, time and time again, broken the mold. From his remix of Dereck Carter's "You can't hide from your bud" to his lyrics for Daft Punk's "Digital Love" on their landmark Discovery album in 2001, Sneak's contributions have been immense.

One of dance music's most vocal and passionate champions, DJ Sneak is also one of its most infamous DJs. A staple of Ibiza and the worldwide festival and club circuit, there's no sound system that Sneak doesn't slay. His diversity behind the decks is world-renown, mixing funky filtered disco, furiously danceable Latin-inspired rhythms, and the sound of classic Chicago house. When Dj Sneak is playing, not a single person in the place is sitting still. In recent years the artist has gone the independent route, taking control of all of his previously released masters and carefully curating his DJ schedule. So, catching him now is a rare opportunity to see a master at work.

Join us on The Roof this December 16 to shake off the work week and get down to the funk with one of house music's most iconic figures, DJ Sneak.
