Brought to you by the team at Defected, Glitterbox returns to Hï Ibiza for a glorious 22-date residency covering all of summer 2022. Be there for the first turn of the disco ball on Sunday, May 8th, and enjoy the extravagantly joyous party every weekend until October 2nd.
Prepare yourself for the best in house, disco, and funk alongside jaw-dropping production and incredible live PAs and performances. Glitterbox is certainly here to impress this coming season. Truly a party for everyone, you’ll be mesmerized by the drag queens, the club kids, and dancers performing their way through the smiling crowds. There’s not a party on the island where you’ll feel more welcomed - we can promise you that!
Since arriving on the island in 2014, the now-closed club Booom! and the Space Terrace have played host. It was a strong start for the disco-tinged sister to Defected at two iconic venues. And despite those two epic venues, Glitterbox never felt like it had a proper home until 2017 when it became a staple in the weekly lineup at Hï Ibiza.
They’ve pulled out all the stops for the opening party. Expect flamboyance, sparkles, and sequins from the crowd - perfectly backed by energy, sass, and reimagined house and disco from the artists behind the DJ booth.
And let’s not forget the Wild Corner. For the uninitiated, it’s a DJ booth and dancefloor inside the unisex restroom at Hï Ibiza. They’re quite possibly the most exciting toilets in the world!
The Lineup
Basement Jaxx are a legendary British duo made up of Felix Buxton and Simon Ratcliffe. Rising to popularity during the ’90s, they won the Best Dance Act at the Brit Awards in 2002 and 2004. Expect classic vocal house and hands-in-the-air anthems when they play.
Formerly known by his stage name Joey Negro, Dave Lee is an English DJ and producer who’s been part of the electronic music scene for almost 30 years and is one of the UK's house music pioneers. His disco-filled, soulful tracks will be sure to keep you on the dancefloor.
From Brooklyn Beckham’s wedding to the DJ booth at Hï Ibiza, Fat Tony’s 35+ years in the business and his gigs alongside the likes of Carl Cox and Sasha make him one of the most respected artists in the world.
French DJ and dancer Kiddy Smile has been turning heads in the music industry since 2010. His sense of style is unparalleled, he can vogue like no other and rock runways for iconic fashion houses like John Paul Gaultier. He loves to blend 80s and 90s house and disco and is the perfect fit for a Glitterbox lineup.
Formed by Scott Gray, Paul Reynolds, Ben Santiago, and Corbi, house, and disco are at the forefront of what they do. With a summer residency at the infamous Pikes Ibiza, they know how to showcase the hedonism synonymous with the White Isle.
NYC-based Natasha Diggs has been on the scene for over a decade and has a deep knowledge of music, allowing her to lead a crowd on an unforgettable journey. Known for dipping in and out of genres, there could be a few surprises on the opening night.
Grammy award-winning producer and DJ Roger Sanchez is one of the most well-known names in house music. He’s also the founder of his label, Stealth Records, and has held countless residencies on the White Isle since 2000.
Defected founder and brains behind Glitterbox, Simon Dunmore is one of the most respected names in house music. To watch him play is a joy. He’ll be bringing his infectious energy to the Glitterbox Opening Party this May.
