Matt Sassari
Brooklyn, New York
Overview
Matt Sassari's stripped-back and rhythmic slant on tech house and techno have surely made you move on the dancefloor. His 2021 release "Give It To Me" —a slinky grinding rework of Timbaland, Justin Timberlake, and Nelly Furtado's 2007 hit—is a club favorite and was the 27th best-selling track on Beatport last year. We couldn't be more excited to bring the French DJ and producer to The Room at Superior Ingredients on December 10th.
Sassari emerged from the French underground in 2012 with a string of unique releases on Ron Costa's Potobolo Records. It wasn't long before the house scene took notice of the young ingenue's dark minimal sound, and the bigger labels came calling.
His breakthrough came with the release of "Put A Record On," his first Beatport #1. And he's just continued to release absolute heat. His prolific output in the last near-decade has seen him drop heaters on venerated labels like Deeperfect, Cr2, John Summit's Off The Grid, Gorgon City's REALM, and Octopus Recordings.
He playfully tiptoes on the line between techno and house music, always bringing his trademark swinging grooves and sub-thumping basslines. With millions of streams across all platforms, his global network of fans stay thirsty for his beats. And he's roped in an impressive list of dance music greats who keep their USBs stacked with Matt Sassari tracks, including Solardo, Carl Cox, Nicole Moudaber, MK, Wax Motif, and Green Velvet, who he collaborated with this year on "Dance or Die."
Matt Sassari is nothing short of a rising superstar with well-established skills behind the decks. However, an appearance in the states is rare. The historic 74 Whythe Avenue in Brooklyn is the perfect space to get down to Matt Sassari's dark and dirty beats. So don't miss out on this chance to groove to the funky beat, as Sassari is undoubtedly destined for the biggest festival stages very soon.
