On December 17, Gray Area returns to Sirius XM radio (Diplos Revolution, Chanel 52) with a fresh and vibrant edition of OCHO. The 14th installment of the show will feature eight consecutive hours of immersive music presented by some of the most exemplary house and techno acts from every speck of the globe. This time, listeners will get the opportunity to tune in to captivating soundscapes and mixes from global sensations Bastidas, Deer Jade, Joplyn, Juliet Sikora, Lovra, Miguel Bastida, Ranger Trucco, and Yousef.

Known for his rhythmic blend of Latin grooves and tech-heavy house beats, Bastidas is en route to take the world by storm with his hypnotic soundscapes. Following his highly talked about live set at Pablo Escobar’s legendary neighborhood in Medellin, Colombia, in 2021, he immediately got the attention of fellow South American house music lovers. Eventually, listeners across the US and Europe followed. Juliet Sikora
Juliet Sikora’s energy on the decks is instantly recognizable no matter where she’s performing. She’s also a proud owner of the Kittball Records imprint alongside Tube & Berger, which currently sits on Beatport’s top 15 deep house labels of all time. Since the inception of Kittball, she’s recruited electronic masterminds like Purple Disco Machine, Andhim and DeMarzo, Dennis Cruz, Wade, and German Brigante to release on the standout label. Throughout her journey as an influential musician, she’s been a regular at some of the world’s leading clubs and festivals, like Watergate in Berlin, Rex Club in Paris, The Egg in London, Cocoon Club in Frankfurt, and Sonar’s Off Week in Barcelona.
Lovra
Another Berlin-born superstar to add to this week’s OCHO roster, Lovra is an artist quickly climbing her way to the top. Her commendable work has been featured on some of the industry’s top labels, such as Let There Be House, Armada, Get Twister, Hexagon Records, and Sony Music Germany. Aside from impressing label heads with her unparalleled productions, she was welcomed by none other than David Guetta to act as direct support throughout the entirety of his BIG Ushuaia Beach Club residency in Ibiza back in 2019. She’s also been a recurring opener for names like Armand van Helden, Basement Jaxx, Todd Terry, and Felix da Housecat at the iconic Ministry of Sound.
Miguel Bastida
Miguel Bastida has been in the game since his early teenage years when he initially became enamored by all things electronic music. He began DJing at his local hometown radio station in Alhama de Granada in Spain when he was 14. Today, the spectacular Spanish-born DJ and producer resides in Barcelona, a city where house and techno are both thriving. Miguel has become one of the most in-demand Spanish artists worldwide thanks to his matchless mixing expertise and hard-hitting live soundscapes.
Ranger Trucco
As a rapidly flourishing artist in the electronic music scene, Ranger Trucco began his house music journey in the most surprising way. After just one year of attending college in his Michigan hometown, he decided to risk it all and move to Los Angeles to pursue being a DJ and producer. The now LA-based artist enrolled in the lauded Icon Collective music school. Combining catchy lyrics with infectious basslines on each track, his unique twist on tech-house has resonated with electronic music fans of all calibers.
Yousef
Yousef’s exemplary contribution to the electronic music scene traces back to the ’90s. On top of DJing at some of the most renowned clubs in the world and hosting residencies in Ibiza for decades, he’s also an accomplished producer, event organizer, and record label owner. Aside from his Circus Recordings imprint, Yousef has releases on prominent labels like Crosstown Rebels, Get Physical, Defected, Cecile, Cocoon, Loco Dice’s Desolat, Dennis Ferrer’s Objektivity Records, and more. A true underground icon, the Liverpool-based producer never ceases to amaze listeners with his infectious house melodies and energizing techno synths.
