On December 7th, we’re proud to host veteran artist Roger Sanchez at The Roof of Superior Ingredients. Joining him is up-and-coming talent, VLTRA, Arturo Sanchez, Luna Mar, and Merc. For DJs and bedroom producers, the ability to hustle is often the most underestimated yet crucial factor in determining success. International DJ Roger Sanchez epitomizes this hustle. From humble beginnings in New York City, digging through old vinyl and spinning at house parties in Queens, to dominating dance floors and headlining festivals worldwide, Roger's journey is inspiring.

Roger's career began in the late 80s amidst the explosion of Hip-Hop in New York City. Embracing the culture as a b-boy and graffiti artist, he eventually transitioned to DJing, enthralled by the exquisite blend of Hip-Hop, House Music, and turntablism. In 2001, he achieved mainstream success with "Another Chance," which has since amassed over 35 million streams.

Throughout his career, Roger has remixed for artists like Michael Jackson, The Police, Diana Ross, Jamiroquai, Maroon 5, and No Doubt, winning a Grammy in 2003 for Best Remixed Recording. He was also a podcasting pioneer, winning the first-ever Best Podcast Award at the International Dance Music Awards in 2007. His radio show and podcast, Release Yourself, attracts over 20 million listeners globally.

Joining Sanchez on his rooftop duties is VLTRA, the Italian DJ and production duo of Riccardo Anzalone and Samuele A. Giambona, known for their rising influence in house and tech-house. Starting their journey in 2012, they moved from early mainstream electronic inspirations to a deeper sound shaped by Palermo’s underground scene.

Their breakout came in 2021 and was in collaboration with Kyle Walker released on Lee Foss' Repopulate Mars label and led to their debut at Foss’ Ibiza showcase in 2022.

In 2023, VLTRA gained further momentum with "Flowcito" on Loco Dice’s Serán Bendecidos, and "Legacy" on John Summit’s Experts Only, which reached #1 on Beatport.

Their performance resume includes standout sets at Tomorrowland’s Casa Corona, elrow Rimini, Studio 338 in London with Meduza, and a New Year’s show at Cocoricò in Rimini. In 2024, they expanded globally with a debut in Asia, a North American set at Parc Olympique in Montreal, and a sold-out show at Drumsheds London for "Our House," sharing stages with artists like Carl Cox, Mochakk, Pawsa, John Summit, and Ilario Alicante.

Next up is Arturo Sanchez, a Mexican-Dominican DJ and producer based in New Jersey who has been energizing the East Coast music scene since 2017—all while balancing a full-time career in medicine. A relative of house legend Roger Sanchez, Arturo has carved out his own path in the industry, performing across New York City and sharing stages with artists such as Alan Nieves, Bontan, and Marshall Jefferson, while headlining notable venues including Paradise and Elsewhere.

His productions have been released on respected labels like Stealth and Nervous Records, earning support from heavyweights such as Fatboy Slim and Mark Knight. A true multi-talent behind the decks and beyond—Arturo Sanchez delivers exactly what the dance floor needs.

Adding to the fire is Gray Area resident, Luna Mar, a New York-born DJ and producer with Puerto Rican roots, making her mark in the electronic music scene. Her sets blend old-school house influences—think Louie Vega—with modern afro house, afrotech, and tech house styles, showcasing her versatility and sharp instincts behind the decks.

Her debut release broke into the Top 50 Jackin' House chart on Beatport, signaling her arrival as a producer to watch. Luna has performed at top-tier events like elrow New York, Electric Zoo, and ARC Festival.

Roger has released music on influential labels like Strictly Rhythm, One Records, and Defected, while also supporting new artists through his labels Stealth and UNDR THE RADR. Known for his busy touring schedule and unmatched skill on the decks, he has held residencies in Ibiza and performed at renowned venues and festivals worldwide, including Hidden Festival, Glitterbox, Defected Ushuaïa, Daft Funk Liverpool, Magic Break, and many more.

Roger has returned to the studio, focusing on creativity with hits like "Dream on Me" with Ella Henderson. He celebrated the 20th anniversary of "Another Chance" with a re-release and a remix by Oliver Heldens, followed by an extensive UK and European tour. He oversaw an all-star remix package of his catalog, featuring artists like Josh Butler and ATrak. The following year, he released the single "Keep it Movin'" with Katy Alex and remixed Betoko's "Raining Again," continuing his impressive global tour.
