Event Recommendation
Afterlife Closing Party at Hï Ibiza. There’s no better way to say goodbye to techno in Ibiza in 2023 than with masters of the melodic, Tale Of Us. They’ll be orchestrating a night of ethereal beats with Afterlife at the world’s number-one club, Hï Ibiza, on Thursday, October 5th from 11pm, but not before the daytime edition of this mammoth double-header has taken place across the road at Ushuaïa Ibiza. Founded by the Italian maestros, Tale Of Us, Afterlife has consistently pushed the boundaries of what a club night can be. With its falling man, synonymous with the brand, and representing the infinite journey into the afterlife, this party has become well-known for its awe-inspiring visuals and an immersive dancefloor experience that's simply out of this world. The Theatre at Hï Ibiza will be the epicenter of melodic magic for the closing party. Leading the charge are the hosts, Carmine and Matteo, the names behind Tale Of Us. They’ll be present with their signature sound - a blend of dramatic breakdowns and arpeggio chords. Joining them is the long-awaited B2B set of Kevin de Vries and Kölsch, an epic pairing that’ll most definitely cause a roadblock. Colyn and Innellea will also be merging their talents for a B2B set, preceded by the innovative sounds of Chris Avantgarde. But the musical journey doesn't end there. The Club Room is set to reverberate with the tougher, faster beats of Berlin-style techno. Clara Cuvé will set the tone, followed by Anetha. A much-anticipated B2B set of Techno titans Ben Klock and Marcel Dettmann will keep the crowds in the Club Room and the night will reach its peak with Kobosil. And while the night promises an unparalleled clubbing experience, it's essential to remember the daytime precursor. Ushuaïa Ibiza will be hosting the Afterlife Daytime party, a sun-soaked affair that will undoubtedly set the mood for the nocturnal revelry to follow. It's a unique opportunity to experience the best of both worlds, from the open-air vibes of Ushuaïa to the high-tech haven of Hï Ibiza. In case you're still on the fence, consider this: it's the only time this summer you'll witness Ben Klock go back-to-back with Marcel Dettmann in Ibiza. Add to that Kölsch's Afterlife Ibiza debut, and the special appearance of MRAK, Carmine Conte's solo project, earlier at Ushuaïa, and you've got a recipe for an unforgettable night. As the curtain falls on summer 2023, don't miss your chance to be part of this epic event. Join the odyssey, enter the void, and let the music guide you through the Afterlife. More about the lineup: Tale Of Us, comprised of Carmine Conte and Matteo Milleri, is a Berlin-based soundscape project that originated from a deep-rooted friendship formed in Milan. Renowned for their unique blend of haunting chords, mesmerizing percussion, and quivering keys, their music and performances have been incredibly received worldwide. Beyond their transformative beats, they've pioneered the Afterlife movement, an ‘odyssey through consciousness’, and have showcased their versatility with the ambient/classical album Endless, revealing their profound connection to piano composition and atmospheric sound. Kevin De Vries, known for his distinctive hybrid techno sound that blends the power of techno with trance's euphoria, has become a mainstay of the Afterlife scene with numerous event appearances. He has many releases on prominent labels and is celebrated for his captivating DJ sets that take listeners on a thrilling journey from cutting-edge sounds to 90s classics. Kölsch is no stranger to the white isle, having played Ibiza favorites DC-10 for Circoloco, Ushuaïa for ANTS, and Pacha to name just a few. His other global accolades include his time behind the decks at Berghain/Panorama Bar, his live stream to 8 million people from the top of the Eiffel Tower, and festivals such as Tomorrowland. Colyn, a 28-year-old Dutch producer based in Amsterdam, has rapidly risen in the melodic house & techno scene, with his distinctive sound characterized by layered textures and euphoric grooves along with nostalgic touches. Despite his seemingly sudden emergence, Colyn has dedicated nearly a decade to honing his craft, gaining significant recognition when his track "Amor" was embraced by Tale Of Us, leading to multiple collaborations with their Afterlife imprint and garnering support from major artists in the electronic music industry. Innellea is a German electronic music DJ & producer from Munich with a unique sound - fusing melodic trends with techno beats, with releases on the Afterlife label proving extremely popular. Chris Avantgarde is a German DJ, producer, and record label owner who loves breaking the rules. Never conforming to a particular style, he deftly defies musical boundaries and experiments with sounds that cover the whole electronic music spectrum. His diverse career spans working with artists like Scooter and Alice Chater, releasing remixes for The Prodigy and Billie Eilish, and composing for renowned entities like Columbia Pictures, HBO, and Netflix; he also founded the record label VNTGRD and has released a variety of electronic music. Kobosil is a German techno DJ and music producer known for his fast, aggressive techno that combines darkness and ecstasy with elements of EBM, noise, and industrial music. Starting his DJing journey at 17, he gained significant recognition after a remix he produced was released on the Berghain's label, Ostgut Ton, leading to his breakthrough in 201, and since 2014, he has been a resident DJ at Berghain. Berghain resident (since 2004) and Klockworks label founder, Ben Klock is highly regarded for his perfectly paced, stripped-down DJ sets. Starting off his career in the mid-90s playing primarily house music, he nearly quit DJing after becoming disinterested in the electroclash and minimal house scenes that were inescapable at the time. Since then, he’s managed to find his own unique sound and has been dominating the scene on his own terms. Marcel Dettmann, a pivotal figure in contemporary techno and a long-standing resident at Berlin's Berghain, merges his early influences of new wave and industrial music with modern electronic innovation, further establishing his signature sound through productions for MDR, and Ostgut Ton. Anetha, a trailblazing French DJ and producer, has been at the forefront of the techno scene for over a decade, drawing rich inspirations from EBM, trance, and iconic 90s techno beats. With a discography boasting over 30 tracks and standout releases on labels like Work Them Records and Blocaus Series, she's not only celebrated for her compelling sets but also for her dedication to nurturing emerging talent through her groundbreaking label, Mama Told Ya. German techno DJ and producer Clara Cuvé grew to love music by playing the piano at a young age before starting to collect records. She has held a residency at the Rote Sonne in Munich before spreading out and playing clubs and festivals worldwide.
