In keeping with Pacha’s flamboyant edge and Claptone’s enigmatic allure, The Masquerade is a decadent gathering comprising of theatrical dancers and performers, old-worldly Venetian decor, and seriously supreme house music selections.
Having toured The Masquerade concept to venues across the globe, German DJ and producer Claptone made a grand entrance into the Ibiza clubbing calendar in 2019, taking up residency at the island’s original nightclub Pacha.
Almost overnight, The Masquerade became the belle of the ball. In fact, during the 2022 season, Claptone and his star-studded guest DJs spanned an impressive run of 23 weekly shows making it one of the longest-running summer residencies to land on Ibiza.
Pioneers of the scene Kerri Chandler, Pete Tong, Jon Hopkins, Fatboy Slim, and Todd Terry all parted their wisdom on the dancefloor, whilst modern tastemakers such as Hannah Wants, Danny Howard, John Summit, and Dom Dolla, to name a few, redlined the party atmosphere with their contemporary cuts. The Masquerade is a true celebration of all things house music.
As always, Claptone himself is on hand to put on a show. The international maestro is equally renowned for his spectacle of house, tech house, and melodic techno influences, as he is for his signature attire including a plague doctor golden mask, white gloves and a black top hat.
Although The Masquerade only made its Ibiza resident debut in 2019, Claptone has been a long-standing White Isle veteran scoring numerous titles at Ibiza’s annual DJ Awards including Best International DJ and three-times Best House DJ. It’s no surprise then that the man of mystery has an Ibiza anthem or two in his arsenal. 2013 hit “No Eyes” will soundtrack your sunset pre-drinks perfectly before making your way to The Masquerade.
No matter what point in the summer season you’re hitting up Ibiza, there’s always an open invitation for you to join Claptone’s Saturday night Masquerade at Pacha.
