Overview
Ben Böhmer is a Berlin-based producer and DJ from Göttingen, Germany. Known for his deep and progressive house style, Böhmer has become one of Germany’s brightest rising electronic music stars.
The young star has dozens of singles and two full-length projects under his belt, with his oldest work dating back to 2014 and plenty of new music in 2022 already. He’s worked with notable names like Monkey Safari, Nils Hoffman, and Boris Brejcha, amongst many others, collaborating, remixing, and getting remixed.
Böhmer has been signed to huge electronic labels, including Anjunadeep, Keller Records, and Cercle Music, solidifying his title as one to watch. He’s also released music with Ostfunk Records, Bade Records, Audiolist Records, Cartin-Pate Records, The Soundgarden Records, Sacrebleu, and Freundchen Records. In 2015, Böhmer founded his own label, Ton Töpferei, which he released his first single ever on.
His latest album, Begin Again, was released in September 2021 on Anjunadeep and has garnered tons of attention in just a short amount of time. The full-length project has attained over 40 million streams and has been remixed by the likes of HAAi, Barry Can’t Swim, and The Blaze. Begin Again is Böhmer’s most emotional project to date, being written entirely during the pandemic when he was separated on the other side of the world from his fiancé.
In 2022, Böhmer embarked on a headlining tour to support his recent album, selling out every show months in advance. He performed at industry-leading venues like Brooklyn Steel in New York, Roundhouse in London, and The Fonda Theatre in LA. This is just a few spots in the long list of places the German DJ has performed at. Böhmer has performed around the world at festivals like Dour Festival in Belgium, Kappa FuturFestival in Turin, Skyline Festival in Orlando, Electric Zoo in New York, and much more.
One of his most notable career highlights is his live stream with Cercle in 2020 where he performed 3,000 feet above the Turkish desert in a hot air balloon. This video now has over 20 million views and won Böhmer the AIM award for ‘Best Live Streamed Artist.’
Following his album release and tour, Böhmer continues making his way to the top. He has performances on the books for Tension Electronic Music Festival, Electric Island, and ARC Music Festival, as well as joining ODESZA on multiple tour dates, and much more around the world.
