Overview
Born in Nigeria, Lebanese DJ and producer Nicole Moudaber got her start promoting small events in Lebanon. She later ended up in London where she would start her music career. Carl Cox, a house and techno icon, has been a huge supporter of Moudaber since her very early days getting started in the electronic music scene. They’ve been friends since the 90s and have since produced, performed, and released a wide array of music together. In 2009, she signed to Cox’s record label Intec.
Moudaber was well-immersed in the club scene when she got her start in producing music and DJing live events around the globe. In 2012, her father passed away which was a pivotal point in Nicole’s career and fueled her passion pushing her career to the next level.
The promoter turned producer has over the years cultivated a multi-faceted brand that encompasses more than just music alone. Moudaber launched her very own record label MOOD Records in February of 2013. However, she didn’t stop there. She has a radio show called “In the MOOD” which was launched in 2014 and is broadcasted to over 80 stations across 50 countries weekly. Nicole also has a string of event productions brands – MoodRAW which threw warehouse parties, MoodZONE which curated festival stages and MoodDAY which was a pool party concept thrown in Miami.
“With great power comes great responsibility,” they say. Nicole takes this expression quite literally as she has a number of philanthropic causes she stands behind and promotes regularly. In her latest campaign launched in October of 2018, she launched ELEVEN, a charity aiming to raise funds for victims of Female Genital Mutilation. The funds raised through this charity would go toward Magool, an organization that supports victims and funds volunteer programs to aid in preventing this inhumane practice.
Nicole Moudaber is steadily making her way to icon status. Not only is she talented but extremely passionate and this can be clearly seen across her many projects.
