Paradise Closing Party
Ibiza, Spain
Event Recommendation
One of Ibiza’s most beloved residencies, Paradise, returns to close out its season at Amnesia on October 5, spearheaded by world-renowned producer Jamie Jones. After an eight-year run at DC-10, Paradise relocated to Amnesia Ibiza in 2020. The Paradise residency sets out to create a party that feels eclectic and creative but still with intimate, family energy. Every Wednesday throughout the summer, Jones headlines The Terrace alongside some of his fabulous, hard-hitting house friends. Across two stages, Terrace and The Music Box, mid-week ravers can experience some of the best in deep house and techno. Terrace Jamie Jones is the DJ, producer, and Hot Creations label boss who helped to pave the way for warmer, more melodic angles on traditional techno. For the closing night of its 2022 summer season, the Paradise patriarch will headline a set at the Terrace. Joseph Capriati is one of techno’s most in-demand headliners of today. The glove-trotting DJ is now well over a decade into his career, and there’s no doubt his performance at Paradise’s closing evening will be a special one. Nicole Moudaber caught the attention of legendary techno producer Carl Cox, who signed her to his label in 2009 She’s since started her own label, MOOD Records, in addition to her own award-winning radio show In The MOOD, which shares her key selects in hard techno. Originally hailing from West Africa, AMÉMÉ infuses his love for his culture into everything he does. His global community and brand One Tribe encapsulate his ethos of unity and positivity. His live sets are a showcase of hypnotic house with deep tribal accents. The Music Box This week in The Music Box, Alan Fitzpatrick and Richy Ahmed go back to back. Fitzpatrick is a Southampton techno legend who’s graced both Berghain nightclub and the BBC’s Radio 1. And Ahmed has taken part in nearly every aspect of dance music culture. From raver to promoter; from producer to label owner, this Brit has a true love for his disco-tech-tinged deep house tunes. Darius Syrossian is unpretentious and hard-working. As a proud selector of quality house and techno, his determination to keep club culture alive shines in his productions and his live sets. Hailing from Berlin, Cinthie’s resume doesn’t stop at epic, disco-tinged live sets. She’s also the head of the label 803 Crystal Grooves and its many subsidiaries, the owner of a house-minded record store in Berlin, a recently featured artist on DJ-Kicks, and also a proud mother. Ben Sterling took much inspiration from his family’s collection of retro disco records. Combined with his love of classic Chicago house and a bit of acid flair, you’ve got the iconic Sterling sound. His tracks have gained support from some of the biggest DJs in the world. Jamie Jones once played seven unreleased Sterling tracks in one set, and it’s easy to see why. Youngblood Mason Maynard has already been deemed “one to watch” by the BBC’s Radio 1 patriarchs. As a resident of the Solardo Sessions, he’s played all over the UK. Thanks to his groovy tech house beats, he’s already caught the ear of legends like Green Velvet, Hot Since 82, and Pete Tong. Romanian newcomer Paco Wegmann's sound is based on a solid diet of 909, Chicago, and Detroit records. Already with releases on Hottrax, Elrow, Viva Music, Kwench, and Savor, to name a few, expect plenty more to come from this talented producer who sees electronic music as a culture rather than a trend.
