Overview

Rebūke is an Irish electronic music artist known for his forward-facing take on techno and for integrating audiovisual storytelling into his performances. Starting his music career at just 12 years old under his given name Reuben Keeney, he spent his early years releasing music and developing his craft. The Rebūke moniker emerged in his twenties as a dedicated project focused on dancefloor-centered production, rooted in the sounds of house, techno, and progressive club music.

His breakthrough came with “Along Came Polly,” a release on Hot Creations that became one of the label’s top performers of all time, holding the #1 spot on Beatport and accumulating over 40 million streams. That track marked a turning point in his sound and exposure, leading to releases on influential labels including Drumcode, Dirtybird, and Ministry of Sound.

Rebūke’s music took another step forward through his collaboration with Anyma, resulting in “Syren,” released on Afterlife in 2023. The track was among the most played melodic techno records of the year and brought Rebūke into closer orbit with the Afterlife community. It also laid the foundation for his growing interest in crafting immersive, multi-sensory experiences on stage.

In 2022, he launched his label ERA, which serves as both a creative outlet and live show concept, centered around combining sound and visual storytelling. Rebūke has since brought his ERA shows to audiences across the globe, with performances at major festivals and venues such as Coachella, the Sphere in Las Vegas (as part of Anyma’s End of Genesys series), Afterlife Barcelona, Zamna Brazil, Drumsheds London, and sold-out stops throughout North and South America.

In 2025, Rebūke released his debut album The World of Era, an expansive project featuring collaborations with artists like deadmau5 and Linska. The album showcased his evolving sound and focus on narrative-driven production, with tracks such as “Endless,” “Choose Life,” and “Teardrops” forming the backbone of an audiovisual show designed for larger stages.

Rebūke continues to perform internationally and has become a recognized name in melodic techno and progressive club music. His shows are known for their cinematic visuals and precise sound design, reflecting a career built on technical skill, experimentation, and a clear artistic direction.
