Overview

Who doesn't love a Sunday Funday barbeque soundtracked by stellar house music? The legendary Green Velvet and Claude Von Stroke, aka Get Real, are taking over the newly redesigned Brooklyn Mirage on June 12 for an extraordinary set. It's a party that will combine the controlled chaos of Dirtybird's infamous BBQs with the classic vibes of a Chicago house warehouse party amidst the festival-sized production of one of the most celebrated venues in the US. These two highly sought-after house heroes only bring the most immaculate vibes to the dancefloor.

Their appearances in New York have been the kind of sets that people have talked about for days afterward. When they first started performing together in 2015, they played the Awakenings stage at Electric Zoo the crowd was so thick it surrounded the stage. They have both performed solo sold-out sets at the Mirage, so get your tickets early to catch these two titans of house music.

Claude and GV are no strangers to long sets. The incomparable duo will be taking the dancefloor on an unprecedented five-hour journey of booty-shaking summertime beats. Of course, Green Velvet will be on the mic to perform some of his greatest hits.

They've also assembled a star-studded lineup of vocalists to perform, including Dajae, Duke Dumont collaborator Kid Enigma, Dirtybird's newest voice Nala, and a rare appearance by Crystal Waters, the enigmatic voice behind the dance music classic "Gypsy Woman."

While a five-hour set from two legends of house should be enough to keep the party pumped, there's even more reason to arrive early and stay late.

Opening up the day will be New York legend Joeski, whose career dates back to the halcyon days of the Limelight, Tunnel, and the Roxy. And closing things out will be Rebūke, who collaborated with CamelPhat on "The Future" and has several chart-topping techno jams supported by the likes of Claude von Stroke, Diplo, and Jamie Jones.

It's impossible to measure Green Velvet's impact on dance music. Tracks like "La La Land," "Answering Machine," and "Bigger Than Prince" continue to send dancers into a frenzy. And his labels Relief and Cajual have been at least partially responsible for the rise of dance music heavyweights like Will Clarke, Mihalis Safras, Eli Brown, and CamelPhat.

Claude Von Stroke is the leader of the infamous Dirtybird Records, a brand with a meteoric grassroots rise from local San Francisco party starter to global tastemaker. The label pushed wonky tech house long before it became a mainstage staple. And for over a decade, their parties have created a worldwide flock of faithful followers that have made Dirtybird one of house music's most viral brands.
