In 2015, a fresh chapter in house music was written.

(Nilz Pronk), a Dutch DJ and producer steeped in vinyl culture and shaped by the grooves of 90s New York and Chicago house, set out to create something lasting:

. What began as a passion project quickly grew into a name known across dance floors worldwide. PIV isn’t just a label; it’s a movement, a community, a sound. Ten years later, PIV is celebrating a decade of growth, music, and shared experiences with fans across the globe. This milestone isn’t just a marker of survival but of real influence in the house music world.

From the outset, Prunk envisioned PIV as a platform where house music lovers could find grooves that balance the soulful essence of the past with the sharp edge of modern production. Instead of following tired formulas, PIV defined itself by blending deep basslines, crisp drums, and melodic layers, drawing in listeners who craved depth and groove over gimmicks. This ethos is embedded in the label's name: "Prunk In Vinyl" — a nod to its founder's roots and a reminder that, no matter how digital the world gets, the spirit of vinyl and the ritual of crate digging live on in the sound.

The label’s rise wasn’t overnight. It started with a tightly knit circle of artists and collaborators, including standout talents like DJOKO,

. PIV championed these artists early, helping shape their careers while they, in turn, helped define the label's identity. The community grew organically, its reputation spreading through sold-out releases on Beatport, Traxsource, and Deejay.de, and carefully curated events that built a loyal fanbase from Amsterdam to Sydney.

One of the key moments in PIV’s evolution was its move into Ibiza. What began as villa parties and pop-up shows transformed into full-fledged residencies at iconic venues like

. These Ibiza nights became a proving ground, where the label’s artists connected with global crowds under the stars. The

offers not just performances but immersive experiences: long, soulful nights soundtracked by the very music that built PIV’s reputation.

Prunk himself remains at the heart of the story. More than just the label’s founder, he is its most visible face — a DJ known for marathon sets, including a legendary 10-hour session at Amsterdam’s Thuishaven. His deep love for the genre and instinct for nurturing talent keep the label's spirit authentic. Prunk also keeps the momentum going by releasing on heavyweight labels like King Street Sounds, Nervous Records, Defected, and EWax, carrying the PIV name further into the global conversation.

The 10-year milestone in 2025 marks not just a celebration but a statement. The year-long anniversary is packed with events across the world: Amsterdam, Australia, Barcelona, Bali, Ibiza, Italy, Miami, London, Los Angeles, and more. The centerpiece is the PIV 10-Year Festival at Noorderlicht, Amsterdam, featuring a heavyweight lineup: Aron Volta, Artmann, Benny Rodrigues, Beraber, Chesster, Demarzo, Dennis Quin, Dungeon Meat, Iris Menza, Jesse Maas, Job de Jong, Julian Anthony, Kellie Allen, Kolter, Makèz, M-High, Noumé, Project89, Retrouve, Ruze, Sidney Charles, and of course, Prunk himself. This isn’t just a nostalgic look back — it’s a bold, celebratory leap forward.

But PIV's anniversary is more than just a series of shows. The label is rolling out limited-edition merchandise and a special 10-year sampler that revisits its roots while showcasing where it’s headed. For longtime fans and newcomers alike, these offerings capture the essence of what makes PIV stand apart: a respect for tradition, a keen eye on the future, and a passion for keeping house music thriving on both vinyl and digital platforms.

PIV has always been about more than just tracks and parties. It's about creating a space where artists and audiences can come together over a shared love of groove. From local showcases to global festivals, PIV has consistently delivered carefully curated lineups that spotlight both established names and emerging talent. Whether it’s a sweaty club night in London or a sunrise set in Bali, the throughline is always the same: music that brings people together, that makes the dancefloor feel like home.

The label’s story is also a reminder of the importance of community in music culture. PIV's loyal following didn’t come from flashy marketing or chasing trends. It grew out of years of consistent quality, genuine artist development, and a clear sonic vision. Fans don’t just attend PIV events; they feel part of something, part of a collective experience that extends beyond the club or the festival grounds. This sense of belonging has been central to the label's sustained success.

Looking ahead, PIV shows no signs of slowing down. With fresh collaborations, new releases, and expanded residencies on the horizon, the label is poised to keep evolving while staying true to its roots. For those who’ve followed PIV since the beginning, the 10-year anniversary is a well-earned moment of pride. For those just discovering the label, it’s an invitation to step into a world where house music is not just background noise but a living, breathing culture.

PIV Weekly

In short, PIV Records has spent the past decade building something real. A label, yes, but also a movement. A family. A global network of music lovers bound together by the simple, powerful magic of house music. And as they say themselves: "PIV is for everyone. VIP spelled backwards."

Celebrate with them this year — because milestones like this don’t come often, and when they do, they deserve to be danced through the night and into the morning.
