Since their back-to-back opening and closing party in 2021 (one of the very few clubbing events to happen on the island that year), Amnesia has been chomping at the bit to swing its doors wide open again to truly kick off the 2022 summer season. Though pre-opening parties are planned prior to the 21st, we suggest saving the date for this stellar line-up at one of the most recognizable clubs in Ibiza.
The festivities start at a respectable 6 pm and run through the night until midday the next day - perfect if you’re looking for a mammoth 18-hour session on the dancefloor. Last year brought the debut of a special outdoor stage, which stays for 2022’s opening (at least), as well as the Main Room and infamous Amnesia terrace - where Jamie Jones will be playing an extended morning set. If you’ve not experienced sunrise flooding through the terrace windows after a long night of dancing… you’ve not experienced Amnesia Ibiza at all.

A mix of the best house and techno DJs make up the bill to officially start Amnesia’s 2022 season including Marcel Dettmann, Nina Kraviz, Eats Everything, Jamie Jones, Maceo Plex, Seb Zito, Archie Hamilton, Marco Faraone, CAAL, and La La. Debuting the club this year are Lilly Palmer and Patrick Mason, fresh talent for one of the best summers on the White Isle in a very very long time.
Bristolian Eats Everything—aka Daniel Pearce—arrived on the scene in 2011 with his breakthrough track “Entrance Song” and hasn’t looked back since. His musical knowledge spans a wide range of genres, including house, techno, disco, garage, jungle, and more. His down-to-earth attitude makes him one of the best-loved artists in the world. We can be sure that he’ll bring his eclectic and electric atmosphere to Amnesia’s dancefloor for the opening event.
Producer, DJ, and label owner Archie Hamilton has spent over 10 years rising through the ranks of the underground house and techno scene. No stranger to the White Isle, Hamilton has played iconic parties such as Circoloco and Music On, as well as Amnesia’s opening/closing fiesta in 2019. His distinctive sound and impressive skills as a selector means that he can truly control a dancefloor, pushing 90s gems one minute and brand new tracks the next.
There’s truly no one that knows Amnesia Ibiza better than resident CAAL. With roots in Ibiza and Barcelona, this DJ and producer has played countless Amnesia parties including Pyramid, Together, elrow, Hyte, and People From Ibiza - as well as Amnesia Ibiza Present parties across the globe over the winter months as a guest artist.
Hot Creations label boss, and founder of the infamous Paradise event brand Jamie Jones, brings his distinctive sound to the Amnesia opening party on May 21st. His take on warm, melodic techno will take you on an unforgettable euphoric journey. Team that with an infamous Ibiza sunrise and you’ve got a match made in musical heaven. The Amnesia terrace will be the place to be when the sun starts coming up on the 22nd.
La La (AKA Lauren Andrew) is a Scottish DJ, originally from Glasgow, now based in London. Her extensive knowledge of dance music history ensures that her sets are captivating, if not inspiring, as you’ll never know what is coming next. Now a regular party curator at world-renowned Sub Club in Glasgow and FLY club in Aberdeen, La La is poised to show the rest of the globe what she’s got
Energetic DJ Lilly Palmer makes her debut at Amnesia in 2022, bringing her powerful techno and melodic sounds to the party people of the White Isle. Already a respected international artist, she is a regular guest in the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Hungary, Israel, Lebanon, Croatia, Switzerland, Belgium, UK, Spain, Ibiza, and India (where she played at the biggest Asian festival Sunburn).
At only 20 years old, Luca Donzelli made his first steps into the clubbing scene and in the summer of 2014, played the opening party for Amnesia, as well as Off Sonar for the third time. Amnesia may as well be a second home to Luca, as in 2015, he was named a resident at Loco Dice’s party HYTE. A true storyteller with his music, his distinctive style and attention to detail will leave you wanting more long after his set is over.
DJ Awards winner Maceo Plex has a style heavily influenced by house and techno sounds and has been a regular at many of the super clubs across the White Isle, including Amnesia, where he will be gracing the decks once again for the opening fiesta.
Tuscan-born Marco Faraone was influenced by his DJ father as he grew up and truly burst onto the techno scene after securing a residency at Florence’s globally-renowned Tenax Club. Since, he has become one of the most respected techno DJs and producers in the world.
German-born Marcel Dettman has been immersed in electronic music since the early 90s - a fixture in the Berlin techno clubbing scene - but not before experimenting with his main influences of new-wave, post-punk, and industrial music.
It wouldn’t be an Amnesia Ibiza opening party without Mar-T. As the super club’s longest-standing resident (since 1999), this Spanish DJ and producer, Martin Vega—a.k.a. Mar-T— will bring pure hedonistic joy to the dancefloor of Amnesia.
Nina Kraviz wouldn’t be gracing us with her presence if she’d chosen to follow her first career choice of dentistry. Lucky for us, we’ll be able to watch this techno powerhouse captivate the floor in only the way she can.
Berlin-based techno and house DJ, Patrick Mason basically grew up on the dancefloors of Berghain. He found his musical voice in Berlin and now shares with the world a diverse mix of house and techno.
Starting his career in 1994, Seb Zito has continuously provided the crowd with the house and techno that they’ve grown to know and love at the infamous London party, FUSE. He’ll be taking the crowd on his own unique journey throughout this summer's opening party.
Operating under the alias Squire as a DJ, Barcelona-born Juame Alguersuari’s escape from reality came through his love of dance music – which took a back seat during his racing career but came to more prominence again after he stopped competing in 2015.
