On Sunday, November 16th, The Roof at Superior Ingredients comes alive with a special Doubleheader featuring two powerhouses of house music: Gene Farris and The Shapeshifters. Set against the iconic Manhattan skyline, this Sunday session will bring together Chicago’s underground roots and London’s disco-fueled energy for a night that celebrates the global sound of house in all its forms.

A true global ambassador of Chicago’s house music legacy, Gene Farris has spent nearly three decades shaping the culture from the city’s underground warehouse parties to the world’s biggest stages. With seven albums and more than 200 releases on labels like Relief, Dirtybird, ViVa Music, and Defected, Farris is both a prolific producer and an epic DJ.

As the founder of Farris Wheel Recordings, he continues to champion new talent while delivering unforgettable sets at events like Arc Music Festival, Desert Hearts, Beyond Wonderland, Groove Cruise, and elrow. His signature blend of raw grooves and high-energy beats cements him as one of house music’s enduring legends.

Representing the UK, The Shapeshifters — fronted by Simon Marlin — are responsible for some of the most iconic vocal house tracks of the last two decades, including the timeless anthem Lola’s Theme. Mentored by Frankie Knuckles and championed by Defected’s Simon Dunmore, The Shapeshifters found a spiritual home with the Glitterbox family, where their disco-driven productions and euphoric DJ sets have become essential to the brand’s global success.

Malcolm Zeller, a fast-rising DJ and Producer out of NYC, has garnered live support from the likes of Mau P, Wade, Guz, Mat.Joe, Roger Sanchez, and more. With his unique and energetic stage presence, two successful releases on Sink or Swim, and a release on Noizu’s imprint, Techné, Malcolm Zeller is considered one of house music’s youngest & most promising acts, set for a breakout season. Warming the decks up is hanzondeck, a NYC-based DJ and producer known for vocal-driven tech house sets that blend groove, grit, and deep rhythm. Rooted in NYC’s underground and shaped by global sounds, her flow-focused performances have lit up venues like SILO, VIRGO, and Baby’s All Right, with recent support slots for James Kennedy. As a core member of the Support Women DJs collective, she’s on a mission to move dancefloors and elevate underrepresented talent.
