Francis Mercier Open-To-Close
New York, New York
Overview
On September 15th, Francis Mercier will be returning for his first-ever open-to-close set in NYC. Born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, and based in New York, Mercier has shaken the house music scene with his unique blending of afro and melodic house elements with emotive and soulful influences.
As a young boy, the sunlit shores and resonating beats of his homeland instilled in him an innate love for music. While he spent his formative years tinkering with old recording equipment, it was his move to the bustling metropolis of New York City that set his musical compass afire. Encounters with pulsating electronic beats and the magnetic energy of the city led him to a path of musical exploration and excellence. Today, this blend of Haitian heritage and NYC dynamism defines Mercier's distinctive sound, a testament to his journey from a curious boy in Haiti to a global Afro house sensation.
Being the founder and label boss of Deep Root Records, he has consistently pushed the boundaries of house music. His distinctive sound has earned him a #2 spot on Beatport’s Top 10 overall chart and Beatport Top 10 Best Selling chart.
Supported by renowned acts such as Black Coffee, Keinemusik, and Pablo Fierro, Mercier has collaborated with Diplo, Major Lazer, BLOND:ISH and has shared the stages with LP Giobbi & John Summit. His 2023 summer tour has already seen unforgettable performances with more set for cities around the globe coming off his recent anticipated releases "Egyptian Sun" and "Strangers (Do You Remember)."
Musica, a venue celebrated for its underground, warehouse-style ambiance. Its standout brick-walled architecture, mesmerizing LED screens, and top-tier sound system create an immersive environment that will truly enhance the appeal of Mercier's performance.
Mark your calendars and secure your tickets so you don't miss this rare opportunity to dance with us and Francis Mercier on September 15th at Musica.
