Since MK’s last sold-out headline show at The Great Hall back in November, fans have been begging for the Detroit native to come back to Brooklyn. The gods have answered our prayers. MK is returning to the city, now at Avant Gardner’s beloved open-air venue, The Brooklyn Mirage, on August 6.

Besides the producer-DJ’s residency at Ushuaia in Ibiza this summer he’ll be stopping over at Creamfields South and Sensation in Europe, and Lollapalooza and Global Dance Event in Colorado. This event will be one of MK’s rare 2022 summer appearances in the US.

MK has been making dancefloors groove since the ‘90s, with tracks like “Push the Feeling On” with Nightcrawlers blowing up in 1995 and “Burning” reigniting his popularity in 2011.

The club icon continues to leave his mark through remixes of now-classics including Storm Queen’s “Look Right Through” and Wankelmut x Emma Louise’s “My Head Is A Jungle.” Both his originals and his edits have garnered him mainstream success, paving the way for MK to collaborate with prominent R&B stars like Majid Jordan.

For his Brooklyn return, MK enlists the support of house heavy-hitters Walker & Royce and Dillon Nathaniel, as well as quickly-rising newcomers, QRTR and Hyde. Walker & Royce’s imprint, Rules Don’t Apply, was just announced as a nominee for DJ Mag Best of North America Awards’ breakthrough label for 2022. And Dillon Nathaniel also recently announced his new record label, Obsession.

With a lineup like this, there’s no doubt you’re going to end the summer with a special night of dance music. Let there be more house!
