MoBlack Records Open Air

Overview
On Friday, September 4th, Gray Area brings MoBlack Records to The Ruins at Knockdown Center for a special open-air session from 3PM–10PM. Joining him is Miami-based Falyn, French-born Cisummi, and Oktave.

At the center of it all is MoBlack, the Italian DJ, producer, and label head who has become one of the defining figures in Afro House. With support from names like Black Coffee, &ME, Rampa, Solomun, and Pete Tong, and appearances at global events including Terminus and Brunch Elektronik, his sets draw from Afro House, melodic techno, and organic influences, shaped in part by his years living in Ghana.
His work as former A&R Manager for Traxsource’s Afro House division also helped push the genre into wider recognition, including its official category status on Beatport. Through MoBlack Records, he has built a platform that connects artists across continents, bringing forward new voices while maintaining a strong link to the roots of Afro-influenced electronic music.
Joining the lineup is FALYN, the Miami-based DJ and producer whose blend of Afro House, Afro Tech, and melodic influences has quickly earned attention across the U.S. and abroad. Since emerging in 2023, she has built a growing following through performances spanning from California to Morocco, becoming one of the rising names in the Afro House scene.

Also joining the party is CISUMMI, the French-born, Brooklyn-based DJ and producer whose sound blends African and Latin influences into rhythm-focused house music. His release "DIKEBO" on MoBlack Records earned support from artists including Rampa and Carlita, while his residency at Gospël and support slots for Francis Mercier, Nitefreak, Ahmed Spins, and &friends have made him a familiar face at New York venues including Avant Gardner.
Rounding out the lineup is is Oktave, the NYC-based DJ, producer, and founder of Palosanto. A familiar name within New York's underground community, he's known for thoughtfully curated sets that move between Afro House, melodic, and organic sounds while helping shape one of the city's growing event brands.
Set against the industrial backdrop of The Ruins, this daytime-to-sunset gathering brings together sound, community, and culture in one of New York’s most distinctive outdoor spaces.
