Solomun has been overtaking the hallowed spaces of the legendary Pacha with his melodic grooves every Sunday since the Solomun+1 opening on May 22. But his residency in the city boasts a long history, and his deep loyalty to Pacha spans over a decade now.
A flagship event in the White Isle, Solomun+1 features some of the biggest names on the global circuit. This summer’s roster has included the likes of Keinemusick, Trance Wax, Jamie xx, Dixon, Adriatique, Sofia Kourtesis, and Gerd Janson.
The 2022 season of the residency kicked off on May 22 and comes to a close on October 16.
As per tradition for these legendary Solomun +1 nights, the techno titan invites a single guest for each edition. The night kicks off with the plus one opening at midnight before handing over that signature DJ booth to Solomun, after which both play back-to-back until closing.
Solomun will be joined by the Danish DJ and producer Christian Nielsen for the September 18 edition of Solomun +1.
Christian Nielsen is a self-described “rare commodity in the worlds of house and techno. While other producers might pander to the masses, Nielsen never opts for a novelty approach.”
The artist just released “Sorry” on Solomun’s Diynamic Music in August 2022. Just earlier, he released “All My Life” on Gorgon City’s REALM Records featuring a heavy beat, deep basses, and a pitched-down vocal. In addition to Diynamic, he has also released via Kompakt, Ellum, and Of Unsound Mind.
The Copenhagen native hosted the 11th edition of Diynamic’s “Picture” series, and the track “Love For My Love’ is part of the soundtrack to the latest Zach Braff feature film.
This year, Christian Nielsen has performed at Printworks London, the Nobody is Not Loved Festival (Solomun's Diynamic Festival), and much more.
Between Solomun and Christian Nielsen, September 18 is bound to be yet another hypnotizing night on that iconic dance floor.
