Irving Plaza, a historic ballroom-style music venue in Manhattan's Union Square, has been a staple of New York City's live music scene for decades. Originally purchased by the Polish Army Veterans of America in 1948 and used as a Polish-American community center, the venue transitioned to a rock music hub in 1978. It quickly became a hotspot for punk and new wave bands, hosting iconic acts like the B-52s, Talking Heads, and the Ramones.
Throughout its history, Irving Plaza has undergone several transformations, including a brief stint as the Fillmore New York at Irving Plaza under Live Nation's management in 2007. However, the venue's original name was restored in 2010 due to popular demand. The venue has hosted many memorable performances, including a surprise show by Paul McCartney in 2015. With a venue that has such a rich history, Will Clarke’s performance is the perfect addition to its legacy of hosting top-tier musical talent.
