Eric Luttrell, known by his stage name Luttrell, is a celebrated DJ and artist hailing from San Francisco, California. His love for music started at a young age, leading him to explore various genres before finding his passion in the mesmerizing rhythms of house music.
Luttrell first made a name for himself as a member of the successful electronic music group, The M Machine. However, a transformative solo performance at Burning Man in 2015 sparked a new direction, birthing his solo project, Luttrell.
Influenced by everything from his San Francisco hometown to The Smashing Pumpkins, Nirvana and The Prodigy, Luttrell’s unique brand of indie-laced house and techno gained him heavy support from BBC Radio 1, and garner remixes requests from renowned acts Moby, Tycho, What So Not and Jai Wolf His productions have been supported by Pete Tong, Kolsch, Joris Voorn, Lane 8 and many more.
With a distinctive sound characterized by emotional depth and progressive beats, Luttrell soon gained recognition, signing his Need You EP to the respected Anjunadeep label in 2016. As one of Anjunadeep's leading artists, Luttrell has performed at major global venues, from Bill Graham in San Francisco to London’s Printworks.
Within the first two years of his solo career, he supported Above & Beyond, Rüfüs Du Sol, and Lane 8. He also performed at major festivals like Outside Lands, Coachella, Tomorrowland, Electric Forest, and Lightning In A Bottle, and co-headlined the Anjunadeep Open Air tour.
In 2019, Luttrell released his debut album, Into Clouds, followed by a comprehensive 23-date North American tour, both demonstrating his vast creative abilities. He followed up with his albums Lucky Ones in 2020 and Music For My Memories in 2021.
In 2022, he embarked on a successful tour taking him to stages from North America to Albania to Brazil. Carrying this momentum into, 2023, Luttrell's artistic journey continued to flourish. His latest song, "Sunrise Song," encapsulating the tranquility of a hazy sunrise, was released on Anjunadeep. Earlier, he explored new creative avenues with the release of two new tracks, "Darling" and "Waves," on Lane 8's label, This Never Happened. His recent creativivity has been further inspired by watching Skrillex's epic comeback.
While residing in Seal Beach, California, another journey began as Luttrell and his lovely wife Sara James, celebrated the birth of his daughter, Annabelle James Luttrell, on May 20th 2023.
