Overview
Sarah Story is a British DJ, producer, and radio broadcaster known for her sharp curation, club-ready sets, and role as a leading voice in contemporary electronic music.
Raised in Dalston, just outside Carlisle, Story began her journey in broadcasting at the age of 14, earning on-air experience at a local commercial radio station. Her early radio career included presenting major slots on the Capital network, notably co-hosting the Capital Weekender with Ministry of Sound. This foundation in radio laid the groundwork for her move to the BBC, where she became the host of Future Dance on BBC Radio 1—a flagship Friday night program dedicated to showcasing emerging talent and forward-thinking club sounds.

Parallel to her broadcasting success, Story has built a respected DJ career, performing at major clubs and festivals across the UK and Europe. Her sets have landed on iconic stages including fabric, DC-10, Warehouse Project, Drumsheds, Blackstone Street Warehouse, and festivals such as Glastonbury, Creamfields, and Parklife. Known for her ability to program across house, techno, and deeper club genres, she has become a reliable name in both underground and mainstage spaces.
In 2024, she launched STORIES, a label and event series designed to platform DJs, producers, and artists without bias—built around the philosophy that “everyone has a story to tell.” With releases from artists like Big Miz, Emma B, Prunk, and Hot Since 82, the label has quickly gained traction for its quality output and tight curation. STORIES has also expanded globally with club takeovers and festival showcases in cities like Ibiza, Amsterdam, London, Paris, and New York.
As both a tastemaker and artist, Sarah Story continues to be a credible force in modern dance music—balancing club work, original production, and broadcasting with a clear focus on community and quality.
