BBC Radio 1 Dance Live
San Antonio, Spain
Event Recommendation
The annual pilgrimage is upon us. BBC Radio 1 Dance is ready to light up 528 Ibiza on Friday, July 28; this is one summer event you do NOT want to miss. Back in 1995, a tradition was born when BBC Radio 1 graced the golden sands of Ibiza for the first time. It was a summer saga that quickly became an annual ritual, with thousands of Radio 1 and dance fans flocking to the island to celebrate all things music. Today, as we're approaching the third decade of these legendary parties, the excitement is as palpable as ever. This year, the BBC R1 crew lands at 528 Ibiza, an all-encompassing hub of fun, formerly known as Benimussa Park, the home of the unforgettable Zoo Project parties. Trust me, this place knows how to host a party or 2. From the moment the gates swing open at 4pm until the last beat fades away at midnight, you'll be treated to a plethora of incredible music spread across four stages. Dance your heart out at BBC R1 Dance and Radio 1 Dance Anthems, chill out at R1 Relax, or uncover fresh beats at BBC Music Introducing. “Who’s on the lineup?” we hear you ask… Brace yourself, because this one’s a corker! Gracing the stages throughout the afternoon are Becky Hill, Camden Cox, Chase & Status, Eats Everything, FISHER, Hannah Wants, HoneyLuv, Jamie Jones, Jax Jones, Katy B, LP Giobbi, The Martinez Brothers, MK, Patrick Topping, Sam Divine, Sonny Fodera and, of course, the R1 Dance family. Until now, 528 Ibiza has been a dinner, cabaret, and show concept. BBC Radio 1 is bringing us one of the first full-blown dance parties since its Zoo Project days, and something tells me it's just the beginning of what's to come for this iconic Ibiza venue. So, if you haven’t got your tickets already, make sure you do, because this is a party for the history books. And, if you want to carry on the celebrations with Radio 1 throughout the weekend, they’re hosting parties at Ushuaïa Ibiza on Saturday, July 29 as well as Ibiza Rocks AND Hï Ibiza on Sunday, July 30. It’s a wild weekender, and we’re here for it!
