Though there are 22 Ibiza parties left this summer to choose from, the BBC Radio 1 ANTS takeover at Ushuaïa is one you should have your eyes on!

ANTS is a homegrown party that’s been a solid player in the Ibiza weekend lineup since its inception in 2013 and has only gotten stronger over the years. It's a favorite with the local industry crowd as well as the holidaymakers on the White Isle, so expect an electric atmosphere as the sun sets over Playa d’en Bossa’s number one open-air venue. The very best names in tech house will join forces every weekend, alongside the incredible production we’ve come to know from Ushuaïa.

The party will start at 3 p.m. and goes until midnight with a big-name lineup for the Radio 1 takeover that is not to be missed. There’ll be a solid B2B set by Andrea Oliva and Hot Since 82, as well as sets from legends Pete Tong, Groove Armada, Richy Ahmed, Monki, and Jamie Roy. With these names, you’ll be treated to a master class of house and tech house. Are you ready to join the colony?

Swiss-born Andrea Oliva taught himself to DJ at 13 years old and built his career organically, first being booked for some of Switzerland's best clubs, then taking on Ibiza, followed by the rest of the world. Oliva has been a prominent name in the ANTS lineups since the party’s beginnings and has played all over the White Isle, cementing himself as an artist that curates outstanding underground sets and controls a crowd like no other.

Oliva will be playing a B2B set with Daley Padley, better known as Hot Since 82. The DJ/producer from the UK has been on the electronic music scene since 2012 and made a name at the biggest clubs and festivals throughout his career. A DJ Awards winner as well as Electronic Music Awards nominee, Hot Since 82 shows no sign of slowing down!

Pete Tong’s influence on the dance music world is nothing short of legendary. With a career spanning over two decades, he is one of the most heralded influences when it comes to his ear for the best new music selections. Tong is famous for his show on BBC Radio 1, where he’s hosted the weekly “Essential Selection” and “Essential Mix” programs since the early 1990s.

Groove Armada, the pairing of Andy Cato and Tom Findlay, are a revered dance music duo from the UK. The duo has released eight studio albums, four of which have charted in the UK Albums Chart top 50. Having played clubs and festivals around the world, they’ll be performing to thousands at Ushuaïa for the Radio 1 party.

Richy Ahmed has musical influences ranging from disco and funk to techno and hip-hop. He has inspired a new wave of British DJs and producers over the past 15 years. Ahmed is an original resident of Paradise at DC10 and has played at multiple clubs across the island throughout his career.

Monki’s journey into music started with her internships at Radio Jackie and Rinse FM, where after a year she was offered her own show. Moving to Radio 1 and 1xtra, Monki has proven to be an expert music selector and always brings her incredible taste to the decks. Her passion for music constantly shows as she commands the dancefloor, and we can’t wait to see her on the Ushuaïa stage!

As a producer, Jamie Roy has dropped tracks on industry-leading labels such as Repopulate Mars, Criminal Hype, and Kaluki. His latest EP on TRICK, “Organ Belter,” was the soundtrack of Summer ’21 and has been featured in numerous DJ supporters’ sets. Jamie Roy’s influence also skyrocketed Oden & Fatso’s edit of Lauren’s “Men I Trust” in viral footage from UNUM festival.
