One last ultra-hypnotizing Wednesday before we wrap up Bedouin at Pacha for the year.
The duo kicked off their SAGA residency back in 2017 at HEART and planned a move to Pacha for 2020. Then that pandemic hit, but the two finally made the much-awaited grand debut at the iconic club this year. It’s been only a season at Pacha but they’ve already managed to christen Saga into a household event.
Celebrated for their Middle Eastern sonic vision and rhythms, Bedouin (i.e. Rami Abousabe and Tamer Malki) have released music on labels like Supernature, Crosstown Rebels, Get Physical, and All Day I Dream.
They had their breakout moment rather quickly after playing a sunrise set on the Robot Heart art car at Burning Man in 2013. Years later, they launched their own imprint Human By Default, debuting with their “Whistleman” EP.
Their Wednesday Saga residency opened on May 25 and will come to a close on October 5.
Over the past three months, Bedouin have been joined by a robust variety of artists like Black Coffee, WhoMadeWho, Bonobo, Deep Dish, Damian Lazarus, Acid Pauli, Audiofly, Birds Of Mind, Bob Moses, andhim, and more.
This ambitious duo took on two summer residencies this year: in addition to Wednesdays at Pacha, Bedouin have been spending their Tuesdays this summer at Scorpios Mykonos.
Bedouin will be joined by Hoomance for the October 5 Wednesday Saga closing party at Pacha.
Hoomance joins A Wednesday Saga for the third time this season after having played on June 29th and August 24th.
Based between Toronto and Ibiza, the genre-pushing Hoomance plays with his “intrinsic musical sense and curiosity.” His recent EP Musica was released in July via Bedouin's Human By Default imprint.
His residencies have included Sunset Ashram in Ibiza and Mía Restaurant & Beach Club in Tulum, his summer tour this year has included spaces like Scorpios Mykonos, Lío Ibiza, and CODA Toronto, and he’s played gigs at Miami Music Week and Art Basel.
Between Bedouin and Hoomance, October 5 is pretty much bound to be an excellent finale.
