The infamous Cityfox brand is closing out the season at the Brooklyn Mirage with one last rager: Transcend Season Closing Festival. Gray Area is honored and excited to announce our first full stage takeover for one of New York City's most lauded experience makers. We're coming to the end of one of the most opulent summer seasons in recent memory and shutting it down in style with four stages across two days, October 1-2, for over 20 hours of world-class house and techno.

Gray Area is teaming up with Desert Hearts—leaders in the transformational festival movement—for one day, and we’re bringing the whole family for a night of house, techno, and love. Co-founders 

, Lee Reynolds (the ultimate party machine), and Kevin Knapp head up the lineup for what's sure to be a fabulously weird night of superb music programming.

Desert Hearts co-founder Mikey Lion believes that house, techno, and love can change the world. And alongside Lee Reynolds, Marbs, and the rest of the Desert Hearts crew he is doing that one set and song at a time. His unrelenting positive energy and dusty sub thumping funky house beats have placed him not just at the center of the West Coast house movement, but at the pinnacle of a global movement. Realized during the pandemic Mikey helped usher the Desert Heart family into new territory by establishing an early presence on Twitch and turning the brand into a global force spreading positivity, good times, and proper beats to fans in every corner of the planet.

Gray Area's mission is to build a bigger house music community in North America by helping fans discover exciting house music artists, event brands and festivals that are new to them.

We're also bringing our newly minted Debut concept to life at Avant Gardner (click here to learn more about 

 takes the stage in New York City for the first time. As the host of Radio 1's “Music Introducing,” she's been responsible for spearheading the careers of the next generation of dance music luminaries like TSHA, Prospa, Effy, and Blueprint. The multi-hyphenate phenom shines as a journalist, host, and activist but is also a gifted selector who traverses genres with ease, mixing the best of house and techno with a plethora of cross-cultural sounds.

Gray Area is also reviving Made Event's Sunday School brand. The legacy of Sunday School for Degenerates in house and techno circles is legendary. Their fabled, 24-hour throwdowns during Miami Music Week stood out as culture-defining moments for years. And while the brand has often been a part of Electric Zoo's offerings, this is the first time we're bringing the debauchery to Avant Gardner. Given that past lineups included the likes of Adam Beyer, Victor Calderone, Danny Howells, Lee Burridge, and Seth Troxler, you know that this takeover will be one for the books.
