Deer Jade Presents I AM YOU

On March 8th, Deer Jade brings her I AM YOU Tour to The Roof at Superior Ingredients, marking a key moment in her career and the evolution of her newly launched label. Before the music takes over, the evening will open with a guided breathwork session—setting the tone for a night rooted in intention, presence, and connection. As part of the I AM YOU experience, there will also be curated vendors on-site, offering mindful goods and community-focused offerings that complement the atmosphere of the event.

The Swiss-French DJ, producer, and Burner, has spent years building a global presence through releases on Innervisions, Diynamic, Kompakt, and Rose Avenue, alongside performances at major clubs and festivals including Circoloco at DC-10, Pacha Ibiza, Zamna Festival, and stages across Europe, the Americas, and beyond. With I AM YOU, Deer Jade steps forward with a deeper focus on connection, shared experience, and music as a space for reflection and movement.

Joining her for a live performance, is JOPLYN, the Berlin-based live act whose performances are built entirely from her own productions and vocals. Known for writing, producing, and performing original material exclusively, JOPLYN has collaborated with and been remixed by artists such as Booka Shade, Damian Lazarus, Jan Blomqvist, Rodriguez Jr., HOSH, and MK, with releases on labels including Get Physical, Crosstown Rebels, Watergate Records, and Mobilee. Named BBC Radio 1’s Future Star by Pete Tong, her live shows blur the line between songwriting and club culture, shaped by her instantly recognizable vocal presence.

Also on the lineup is Shubostar, whose career has taken her from South Korea to Berlin and onto dance floors around the world. Her sets pull from disco, electronic, and club-rooted influences, shaped by early video game sounds and analog synthesis.

She has appeared at Panorama Bar, Circoloco, Nuit Sonores, Kappa FuturFestival, Fusion, Garbicz, Robert Johnson, and Burning Man, and was named one of DJ Mag’s Artists to Watch in 2023. Alongside releases on Live At Robert Johnson and fabric Records, she also runs her own label, uju Records, balancing independence with collaboration.

EMJIE is a Brussels-based DJ and producer originally from Charleroi, known for meshing classic house with modern indie dance. She’s played internationally at venues and festivals like Fuse, Sisyphos, Zamna, Bar Americas, Pukkelpop, and Tomorrowland. EMJIE joins the lineup for the I AM YOU show, bringing her sharp selection to the stage.

Marieme is a Senegalese-American artist whose Live Vocal DJ sets have brought her to stages around the world. Known for emotionally charged performances, she’s played major events like Burning Man’s Robot Heart, Red Rocks, Pacha Ibiza, and international spots across the US, UK, Turkey, Mexico, and Brazil.

She’s collaborated with artists such as Above & Beyond, Bedouin, Spencer Brown, and has work with Francis Mercier, Groove Armada, and Mochakk. Her sets stand out for incorporating live vocals and a visual alter ego that adds a deeper layer to her message of self-reflection and healing.

Mona Matsuoka, born to Japanese and American parents, has built a career that bridges fashion and music effortlessly. She’s walked for top fashion houses like Chanel, Miu Miu, Dior, and Gucci, and has fronted campaigns for Kenzo, Nike, Diesel, and Swarovski, with features in publications like Vogue Japan and Dazed.

In the past four years, she’s also carved out a respected presence as a DJ, playing venues such as Surf Lodge, Nebula, and Elsewhere, and performing for global brands like Louis Vuitton, Paco Rabanne, Valentino, and Audemars Piguet. She’s also shared the booth with names like BLOND:ISH, Diplo, Chloe Caillet, and Honey Dijon.

Set against the Manhattan skyline, The Roof at Superior Ingredients provides the perfect setting for this convergence of artists, sounds, and perspectives—an open-air night centered on music, movement, and shared energy. With Deer Jade, JOPLYN, Shubostar, EMJIE, Marieme, and Mona Matsuoka all on the lineup, it’s a full-force gathering of powerful talent.
