Debut: Jaden Thompson New York Headline Performance

After his introduction to North American audiences at the PIV Label Showcase last fall, Jaden Thompson is coming back to New York for his very first headline performance. On Saturday, March 11th the boy wonder is back in the Big Apple for a 12-hour marathon on The Roof into The Room at Superior Ingredients.

Jaden shot up the house music hierarchy with his 2020 year-defining single, “Closer.” Released on The Martinez Brothers’ essential Cuttin’ Headz imprint, the track propelled him from promising youngster to one of the most talked about names on the underground circuit. Since the success of the track, Jaden has grown in stature, most notably being installed as a resident DJ at fabric London in addition to his continuing association with PIV.

Meek and introverted but with a brooding intensity, Jaden is an endearing personality that dispenses with the DJ blueprint. His calm exterior is supplemented by a thirst and deep-rooted knowledge of underground dance music culture. This scholared approach to DJing and producing has seen him win fans amongst the industry’s biggest tastemakers, as well as forming an intrinsic bond with dance floors.

Such an occasion calls for a location of the same caliber - and Wythe Ave and N 12th Street, formerly home to Output, ticks all of the boxes. In its former incarnation, the club achieved legendary status as one of the city’s most beloved venues. After a huge investment and a total rebrand, Superior Ingredients is set to lay down its own legacy. Not only does the rooftop space boast spectacular views of the iconic Manhattan skyline, it comes equipped with retractable glass panels and state-of-the-art climate control. It’s poetic that this highly-evolved nightspot should play host to one of house music’s most naturally gifted next-gen superstars.

The booking also furthers the Brooklyn club’s commitment to incubating emerging talent and honoring the culture of the scene.

Joining Jaden on The Roof is an all-star lineup of residents of The Martinez Brothers' pivotal label and brand, Cuttin Headz. Jesse Colosso was a must to include on Jaden's Debut, his collaborative remix (with The Martinez Brothers) of "Closer" seeps with classic New York flavor, and a touch of dark garage goodness.

Also coming to us from the Cuttin Headz fam are Patrick Grooves and Gabriel Torres. Torres is a New York vet with roots going back to being a turntablist rocking DMC competitions. He met production partner Patrick Grooves in audio production school. From deep tech and house to acid-tinged peak-hour business, this longtime duo has proven time and time again that they know how to rock it out.

In 2015, Blas Cordero, Jesse Colosso, and The Martinez Brothers teamed up for The Masters Collection Vol.1 on Cuttin Headz. Blas has remained a pivotal Cuttin Headz crew member—he'll join them for their Miami Music Week showcase at Club Space—and a New York clubland staple.
