Overview

On June 7th, Life and Death is bringing a full-force takeover that will run from daytime deep into the early morning hours, packed with some of the sharpest names in the game.

Daytime party at the Ruins, kicks off with none other than DJ Tennis, the founder of Life and Death, whose career spans global festival stages from Burning Man to Time Warp, a catalog of top-tier releases on Kompakt, Running Back, and his own label, and recent spotlight as host of the music-meets-food series Munchietown.

Joining him is Kim Anh, a powerhouse in the queer underground, known for her fierce blend of house and disco, her own Can U Not Talk Records, collaborations with Roy Davis Jr. and Peaches, and her role as Global Music Supervisor for Calvin Klein. Luke Alessi, the Australian breakout who has been lighting up clubs worldwide, brings hits like “After Five” — a track that stormed dancefloors globally — and a reputation built through major venues like Space Miami and Pacha Ibiza.

And rounding out the day: Detroit legend Moodymann, the mastermind behind Mahogani Music and KDJ Records, whose sample-driven deep house and techno have set the standard for decades, with classic albums like Silentintroduction and unforgettable appearances in Grand Theft Auto Online.

As the sun sets, the energy shifts with a killer night lineup in the Knockdown Center. AceMo brings the raw, percussive power that’s earned him praise as one of the most vital voices in the new wave of American underground techno.

HAAi, fresh off playing the world’s top stages, delivers her signature high-octane sets, marked by releases on labels like Mute and performances at festivals like Glastonbury and Sonar. Berlin’s Patrick Mason, known for his fierce hybrid live sets and his work with Radio Slave as part of SRVD, tears into the night with the energy that’s made him a fixture at Panorama Bar and Pornceptual, where his fashion-meets-club performances turn heads every time.

And as the night hits its stride, DJ Tennis links up with Ashee under their joint alias Tenashee—a collaborative live project that leans into deep musical contrasts. It’s a meeting point between Ashee’s punk-inspired, off-center club energy and DJ Tennis’ years of experience shaping thoughtful, layered electronic music. Built during lockdown and sharpened through years of experimentation, their sets combine elements of IDM, ambient, and break-driven techno, often paired with a custom visual show that pulls the whole room into their world.

This isn’t your average label night—it’s a full-day takeover curated by Life and Death, drawing from across the spectrum of house, techno, and leftfield club music. If you're after a party that carries real intent and brings together artists who know how to build something memorable, this is it.

The Knockdown Center, a venue with a legacy as rich and layered as Life and Death’s own story, offers the perfect backdrop for this New York takeover. Once a glass factory and later a hub for door frame innovation, the center stands as a symbol of reinvention and creativity — a mirror to Life and Death’s journey from an underground Italian label to a global force in dance music.

With DJ Tennis at the helm and a lineup stacked with boundary-pushing artists from across the world, this is a night (and day) built for true music lovers. Get your tickets while you can — we’ll see you on the dance floor!
