Nala w. HEIDI & Guests

Undeniably one of the most versatile, upcoming artists in the underground scene right now, Nala joins us on The Roof of one of our favorite venues, Superior Ingredients, March 10th!

After deciding to pursue a career in music during her first encounter with Miami Music Week, she’s gone from an entry-level marketing job, to becoming one of the most intriguing names in house music.

When it comes to her sound, Nala’s not afraid to do things her way and combine all of her favorite genres to create her own eclectic breed of house music. From indie dance, electro, and breaks, her sonics are defined by her distinctive vocals, claiming that the most essential piece of production equipment is her beloved microphone.

It was in 2020 when her unique talent was spotted by Dirtybird Records founder, Claude VonStroke, who managed her career until 2022. She has since gone on to launch her own label, Mi Domina - a femme-dominant electronic imprint that merges punk rock aesthetics with underground dance music. Translated to ‘Dominates Me’, it’s also a play on FemDom culture, reinforcing female empowerment within a largely male-dominant industry.

The label's first release, Get Familiar EP, with fellow Dirtybird artist, E.R.N.E.S.T.O, played homage to the imprint that got her name out and about, with VonStroke still continuing to be a mentor and supporter of Nala as she grows within the music community.

Taking great pride in where she is from, Nala credits Miami as a place that's helped nurture her career from the get-go. From learning the art and technique of playing as a warm-up DJ, her move to L.A taught her how to set herself apart from other talent, and boy has she done that.

Heidi, another powerhouse on the lineup, brings years of experience and a deep passion for music to the event. Her Jackathon parties and BBC Radio 1 shows have made her a household name in electronic music, known for her ability to connect with audiences and leave a lasting impression.

Supporting these incredible talents are Branqueeno and HVNLEE, each bringing their distinctive sounds to the event. Branqueeno, rooted in Chicago's diverse house music scene, is known for her energetic performances that traverse a wide spectrum of house music. Her involvement in NYC's club scene and her commitment to fostering community through music set her apart as a dynamic force in the industry.

HVNLEE adds to the lineup with her eclectic mix of Hip Hop, RnB, disco, funk, and soul influences, all while focusing on the various shades of House and Techno. Her work in creating femme-focused event series and her residency at the Fillmore Philadelphia highlight her impact on the music scene and her dedication to creating inclusive spaces for all.
