Are you ready to get “caked”? The dessert-throwing debauchery of DJ Steve Aoki returns to Ibiza for his 2022 residency at Amnesia on July 12. The second installment of the weekly Tuesday-night summer series promises to be a sweet, sticky, sweaty soirée!

Aoki’s eight-week “Hiroquest” residency is a party full of crazy visuals, EDM bangers, and a flurry of builds and drops that kicks off at midnight. "We all waited for summer on the island to be back in full force and that’s what I’ll be bringing to Amnesia,” promises Aoki.

Get there early to snag your spot front-and-center to ride the rails with the AokiFam if you’re hoping to be anointed in icing and champagne showers (Pro-tip: Making an original sign is a good way to denote you’re all about that caking life). As one of the biggest electronic music exports from the United States, the Dim Mak Records boss will also welcome special guest DJs to Amnesia—where the party doesn’t stop ‘til six in the morning (literally!). Joining Aoki on July 12 will be a diverse lineup featuring Vini Vici, Kayzo, Kaaze, and Taao.

Israeli duo Vini Vici will delight the dancefloor with their pulsating psytrance praised by the genre’s leading legends, including Armin Van Buuren. “Few acts have such a well-defined signature sound,” he says, and Vini Vici has expectedly earned an impressive list of awards and accolades. Highlights of Aviram Saharai and Matan Kadosh’s career include a coveted spot on the Tomorrowland main stage, plus teaming up on tracks with Timmy Trumpet, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, and even Steve Aoki himself.

American import Kayzo will bring the bass thanks to incorporating trap and hardstyle elements into his tracks. His decade-long career has brought him to some of the world’s best stages including Lollapalooza, Tomorrowland, Bonnaroo, EDC Las Vegas, and Electric Zoo.

DJ and producer Taao is no stranger to Ibiza. Not only does the Spaniard call the island home, Taao previously enjoyed a residency at Pacha for David Guetta’s “F*** ME! I’M FAMOUS” parties alongside EDM heavyweights Calvin Harris, Alesso, and more.

Also set to delight the Amnesia dancefloor is Kaaze. The Swedish DJ, producer, and songwriter dropped out of school at a young age to follow his passion for making music. What emerged from his studio “lock-in” was a demo that caught the attention of Kaaze’s idol, Tiësto, marking a pivotal moment in launching Kaaze’s skyrocketing career.

As for Aoki himself, expect plenty of fresh productions off for his latest LP, Hiroquest, for which the Ibiza residency was named after. The album won’t be released until September 16, so Amnesia is the perfect opportunity to get a sneak peek of Aoki’s new album.

Can’t make it to the Tuesday night summer shows? Steve Aoki has also launched his own “A0K1VERSE” immersive experience in the metaverse. Membership comes complete with digital and physical perks such as exclusive NFTs, limited-edition merch, collectibles, virtual performances, access to exclusive Aoki collabs, and even free passes to IRL shows, just to name a few.
