Kölsch with Brina Knauss

Gray Area welcomes Kölsch to the Superior Ingredients Roof on February 8, 2026, for a Brooklyn session featuring one of electronic music’s most influential artists. Known for defining moments like his Cercle performance atop the Eiffel Tower and sets at Berghain, Coachella, Tomorrowland, and fabric London, Kölsch has become a key figure in melodic techno. Joining him is Slovenian artist Brina Knauss, who’s been tearing up stages at Awakenings, Tomorrowland, and Cercle.

Coming off the release of his new album KINEMA (October 2025) and in the midst of his Kölsch and the Machine live tour across Europe, the Danish producer returns to New York for a rare DJ performance that bridges his past and present sound. While his tour showcases an immersive live format, this Gray Area event will spotlight Kölsch behind the decks, delivering the deep, melodic, and emotionally layered set that has defined his career.

Joining Kölsch is Brina Knauss, the Slovenian-born DJ and producer known for her sleek blend of house and techno. With support from Luciano and Damian Lazarus, she’s become a staple on global lineups, appearing at festivals like Afterlife, Zamna, Tomorrowland, Awakenings, Cercle, and Extrema, plus major events including EDC Las Vegas, ULTRA Miami, and Soundstorm (Riyadh).

She’s shared stages with names like Carl Cox and Solomun, while also showing her range in Ibiza alongside Lost Frequencies and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike. On the production side, she’s released music with Armada Music, Zamna, and Cercle Records, delivering emotional, club-ready records with real depth.

Kölsch's catalog — spanning acclaimed albums 1977, 1983, 1989, I Talk To Water, and now KINEMA — explores memory, movement, and emotion through precision-crafted sound. Tracks like “All That Matters,” “Grey,” and “Loreley” remain staples on dance floors worldwide.

With collaborations ranging from Coldplay to London Grammar and WhoMadeWho, Kölsch continues to balance underground credibility with universal appeal. We're also excited to welcome back Gray Area resident DJ and producer Nuran, whose music has received support from heavyweights like Township Rebellion, Eelke Kleijn, Maceo Plex, John Digweed, Joseph Capriati, Paco Osuna, and Korolova.

Local talent DuNE also joins the fun. Expect an afternoon into night of powerful, resonant music on one of Brooklyn’s most iconic rooftops.
