East End Dubs New York Headline Debut
Brooklyn, New York
Overview
Deep tech virtuoso and Eastenderz label owner East End Dubs makes his New York City headlining premiere as part of Gray Area's Debut series on Wednesday, November 23 on The Roof of Superior Ingredients. His dark and infectious tech house will provide the soundtrack for an epic sunset against the backdrop of the Manhattan skyline. It will be the perfect way to start your long Thanksgiving weekend.
A staple of the London underground scene, East End Dubs has firmly made his mark on house music with a cavalcade of rich and soulful offerings on labels like Hot Creations, Moon Harbour Recordings, and his own eponymous limited release label. It's no wonder why he's got DJs and punters clamoring for his sexy, UK garage-inspired deep tech beats.
"I am inspired by London's underground scene, by warehouse parties, UK garage, and the likes of Chris Lattner, Justin Drake, and Enzo Siragusa," he explains. "The East End Dubs sound mainly focuses on drums and big basslines. I guess these are the effects of playing drums from an early age. All the tracks are made for the dancefloor – I'd like to think my tracks are timeless DJ tools. I'm just trying to produce music that will not age and make you want to move when you hear it."
His music—while widely lauded on the dancefloor—is coveted by DJs worldwide. Only allowing a select group of industry friends to test his IDs, he builds his tracks for dancers at clubs and festivals worldwide. Among that tightly held community of peers are some of the scene's most sought-after artists, such as Disclosure, who played "bRave" on their Dj Kicks mix, as well as Jamie Jones and The Martinez Brothers.
The consummate creator, East End Dubs shines brightly in the studio and behind the decks. He's a staple of the UK's iconic house music scene with appearances at Parklife, fabric, Printworks London, The Warehouse Project, and the annual Eastenderz Open Air in London. But his love for dropping those sweet, sultry beats is unstoppable. This is why he's become a champion of the deep tech sound worldwide, making multiple appearances in Ibiza every season, including his residency at Cova Santa and clubs and festivals from Brazil and Paris to the debaucherous Club Space in Miami.
We're happy to welcome East End Dubs to Brooklyn for his first headlining show in New York City. Work up your appetite and prepare to spend the weekend dancing to world-class house music with the Gray Area community.
